It takes a few days for Pur Minerals Under Control gel to fully kick in, but once it does, oily skin is banished all day. Oil production does appear reduced while the gel absorbs quickly to give skin a matte, smooth finish without overdrying. It works best when applied morning and night before putting on serums or creams, and it's totally undetectable under makeup. Pore size doesn't appear reduced as claimed but you'll relish not having to use blot powder all day.

I tried the Pur Minerals after running out of my Dermalogica Mattifying Gel. I like the texture and the application feel of this product, but I'm not as matte as I was with the Dermalogica. But for around $18 it's not bad. I'll just have to shell out the $32 next time... — 3 years ago
