Gillette Venus Breeze Reviews

Good idea!
luckybetty (880 reviews)I purchased not just Venus Breeze, but Venus "Spa" Breeze. It was a bit expensive for disposables, but I was curious about this concept, which is like a smaller version of Schick Plus Intuition. I sometimes use Schick Intuition, but I don't like their bulky handle. So this one looks attractive to me. The moisturizing shave gel around the blades allows extra smooth shave. The gel bars wear out quickly, but this is supposed to be a disposable razor so I expect it to happen. I am pretty satisfied with their performance. But yeah this is still pricey, so I won't buy it again anytime soon. If you can afford this, I think this razor is convenient and ideal for travel and work out. — 2 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Best version of Venus
MakeupGuru (424 reviews)I like this Venus the best because of the very lubricating strips. They glide and slip over skin so smoothly, you don't need to use a shaving creme or soap. I noticed that original one's quality became poorer (cutting cost??), the newer razors have have advantage to the older versions. — 3 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

great time saver
Miss_Vicki (253 reviews)Using this has cut my time in the shower since I don't have to do two steps to shave my legs. MY legs are its smoothest after I use this razor. I do wish the gel bars lasted longer, thoug. It's still an overall good product. — 2 years, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Okay, but not the best Venus version
ladyslipper (169 reviews)I have a great fondness for everything in the Venus line of razors...just not so much this one. It does a great job with preventing razor burn or nicks, but I found the "shower bars" way too bulky and the fall off in chunks after a few uses so then there isn't anything there at all. I also didn't think that I ever got a really good, close shave. Still beats regular disposable blades by a long shot, but I strongly prefer the new Venus Embrace. — 4 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

Time Saver
amiawake (28 reviews)I like to take quick showers, get in, get out, get it done! And these really help make that possible! You don't have to spend extra time lathering your legs with shaving cream and then shaving them, its a one step, smooth and quick process! The gel bars around the razor do ten to only last about a week but the razor wouldn't last that much longer than that anyway and I don't mind the cost because of the convenience factor. Its especially nice when you don't have a tub, just a shower with not a lot of room. If I had to put shaving cream on I'd have to turn the water off so it didn't just rinse it right off and I'd get cold. — 1 year, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Best razor ever
ssalge (39 reviews)I am so happy with this razor! No shave gel needed. Gets real close and super speedy because I don't need the messing gel. Love it!! — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Great!
sonatina (73 reviews)For someone constantly on the go, the built in shave gel bars are great! This means one less bulky can, and forgetting shaving gel is literally impossible. I don't care much for the strong smell, though I do prefer the white tea (pink) rather than the tropical (purple). The bars did fall of once, but I've learned to wash my razor differently, so less water wears down the bars, therefore last longer — 2 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

A welcome part of my morning routine.
StephVG (12 reviews)The close shave I get with this razor is second to none, and the surrounding shave gel has made shaving much less of a chore. The scent is very pleasant, and I have noticed a fairly decent lack of nicks. Two complaints, though: the shave gel is always gone before I really need to toss the razor, and I have very dry skin on my legs and the shave gel does NOTHING for them in that respect. Sometimes it seems to dry them out even more. Since I use lotion anyway, it's not a big deal, but I do wish that I could sometimes skip that step on mornings when I'm in a big hurry. Neither of those are so inconvenient that I would stop using these razors, but they're things to consider, and they're why I didn't give this product a higher review. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Gillette Venus Breeze comes up short.
m1sskitty (1 reviews)Although the idea of the Venus Breeze is a great one; the actual product comes up short. The gel strips on the razor are great for about 2 weeks. After that the gel strips on the head of the razor dry up and fall off. The razor itself is still in good shape, but you need to add some shaving, or shower gel to get the close shave which defeats the purpose of buying the 1 step razor. — 2 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
