Not Vanilla Mint!
I love anything vanilla, so it made perfect sense to try the Crest Vanilla Mint toothpaste (Crest is my referred Brand). Unfortunately, Vanilla Mint toothpaste didn't help my breath at all. Part of the reason I brush my teeth is to get my breath fresh as well. Not too crazy about Vanilla Mint
I like vanilla ice cream with mint chocolate, but I did not like Crest's Vanilla Mint toothpaste. Of course, it was not meant to be sweet, but the sweet aroma was weird enough for me. It made me feel like I needed to brush my teeth again. The minty part was not very strong, and the freshness did not last, unlike Colgate Total Whitening toothpaste. Better than the gel.
This paste does what the gel fails to do: actually give you a clean feeling in your mouth. I hate the Taste of mint--Vanillia flavor is awesome!
I didn't buy this for the whitening effect--although I noticed no diff in the color of my teeth. What drew me was the Vanillia Mint flavor PERFECT FOR PEOPLE WHO HATE MINT!! Wintergreen Ice is great
The Crest Whitening Expressions line is my favorite. I am living in Germany right now so it is not available here. When I was home recently I picked up the new flavor Wintergreen Ice. It is very refreshing and looks it too. It is a little too strong to use with mint flavored mouthwash after. If you do this you will get a very cold bite in your mouth. The Wintergreen Ice has a very clean taste, look and feel. Yummy!
Sometimes I think it's absurd walking down the dental care isle. You can easily become overwhelmed by the copious ammounts of toothpaste to chose from; asking yourself "What do I want my toothpaste to achive?". Personally I want mine to give me a clean mouth, white teeth, be sensitive-tooth friendly, taste nice and really, truly polish away the rough feeling you can sometimes get between cleaning -that's not too much to ask, is it? (Oh, did I fail to mention I'm a clean mouth fanatic, and die-hard flosser - I'm the girl in the bathroom airport brushing here teeth on layovers.) Lucky for me, Crest Whitening Expressions achives everything on my list, with an added extra - their new Wintergreen Ice flavour leaves my tongue tingily! The silica it contains does a serious polish job, and the toothpaste its self sparkles! I'm not sure why that makes me happy, but it does. In fact, I like all of their flavours, especially the Cinnamon Rush & Refreshing Vanilla Mint.
