Everyone is right when they say it's not the most pleasant scented product ever. It does have a chemical scent which bothered me at first but whatever seems effective to me is tolerable.. I used this after cleansing and found that it picked up so much dirt and residue which any of my face cleansers weren't able to lift away from my skin so I was pleased. The stinging isn't causting but it is somewhat painful until your skin feels really cool and refreshed, it becomes worth it especially feeling so squeaky clean afterwards.
