The texture is more like light straightening balm than cream. It works well on my husband fluffy puffy hair. He applies this KMS creme to damp towel-dried hair, and even when his hair is completely dry, his hair stays in place. It does not make his hair hard, stiff or crispy. It has a pleasant scent. It is a bit pricey, but the bottle is huge (his hair is short so he has been using the same bottle for months!!) I have used this product religiously ever since I discovered it a few years back. I have long, fine yet thick hair that reacts to the smallest bit of humidity (in a frizzy/puffy way!). This product, when applied before blow drying and styling, does an amazing job of keeping it tamed, healthy/shiny looking, and feeling softer than ever. It sells out all the time at Ulta in my area, so I've just started ordering it online (one of the few products I obtain that way!)
