Exceptional Definition Nutrient Enriched Mascara

I am actually reviewing the Exceptional Definition Nutrient Enriched Mascara, which is nowhere to be found on this site. The packaging looks identical, and I can say that it sounds like the two formulas are very similar. I find that this takes a little longer than desired to dry, is decent in terms of appearance, but nothing special, and unfortunately,I find that my eyelashes tend to itch a little...read more due to the formula and then I accidentally pull them out. So whatever good the nutrients are supposedly doing is kind of counteracted by that. It's an okay mascara with decent building power, but there are cheaper ones that are more worthy of the money.

Goopy, messy tar!

I agree with Lamb727; this stuff is horrible! The case is nice, but that's as far as I'll go. The brush is too big and unwieldy, the mascara itself is thick as tar, and made my lashes look like they had some sort of goop on them, not mascara. I remembered reading here to try following a coat of this with a coat of lengthening mascara, but that made it worse. It took forever to dry (of course, I wa...read mores in a bit of a hurry), I ended up using more Q-tips and toothpicks to try and remove the 'tar' and unclump my lashes than I did actually applying it in the first place. And I didn't even have the blackest formula! I took it back to the store for a refund (Target is really good about refunds if you keep receipts).

Not very volumizing BUT great formula

I love all Boots products most of the time and this mascara is an extremely natural appearing type of mascara which was a surprise to me as it boosts itself as Maximum Volumizing Mascara. It does not feel heavy at all on your eyes, goes on excellent and the formula seems extremely lightweight on your eyes. However, does not seem to add volume at all, but maybe several coats would do the trick,.....read more...I happen to like natural looking eyelashes so for me it was beautiful with one coat....However, I can see how some would be disappointed with the formula as it is not a maximum volumizing mascara at all to me. It does not clump and does not seem to dry out at all. The tube I have I use occasionally and so I have had it awhile, several several months if not over a year and it seems to be the same consistency it was when I first opened the package. So, this was a big plus for me.

Nothing to Rave About

This is some of the messiest mascara that I've ever dealt with! It takes forever to dry on my lashes, and it certainly doesn't add much volume to them at all!! I should have just bought a replacement tube of The Falsies mascara for less mess and less money.

Ok for natural, slightly darker lashes, but doesn't add volume

The review: A few weeks back, I had a hard time locating my favorite mascara, so I picked up a quick replacement at Target. I chose the Boots No. 7 Volumizing Mascara in black. As with all Boots products, the packaging was sleek and super cute. The applicator was sturdy. The mascara applied clump free, however the brush was prickly on my eyelids (the irritation made my lids a bit puffy the next d...read moreay). After checking my reflection, I failed to see the volumizing action. It looked more like a lash tint than a mascara. It wore truly well- I was happy with the lack of smudges and flakes. All in all, a good product for day time wear or in situations where you want low-impact eyes (the gym, beach, etc.). Be a little careful with the brush if you have sensitive eyes. Personally, I will not rebuy since I want my mascara to add drama, darkness, length and volume.

great

i love this mascara!! my favorite is the brown/black shade. it instantly makes me eyelashes look twice as full and it doesn't make them feel crunchy or hard like some mascaras do; it keeps my eyelashes soft. it comes off easily too. its great!!

Fab stuff

Loved this mascara. Great volume, lovely effect. No major clumping issues. Cleaned off easily, as well. I would definitely recommend it for a more dramatic look.
