Great for thick hair
Katlie (22 reviews)The new Velvet Soft shampoo works well for think, color-treated, more-course-than-fine hair. Lathers well, though you have to rinse thoroughly, because of all the suds. Paired with the Velvet Soft Conditioner and an every-other use of the Treatment product, my hair responds well. It's not inexpensive, but I can easily get 3 months out of a bottle when using every-other day. — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

My favorite!
fabulouskitten (8 reviews)I am a stylist. A gal at my local beauty supply gave me a sample of this, as well as the conditioner and the intensive treatment. It's fantastic. It's a little old-fashioned...it has a smell reminiscent of shampoos when I was a kid-but I dig that. The shampoo lathers well, and when used with the conditioner does indeed make your hair very soft. The regular conditioner is lovely if you leave it in for a few minutes-say, while shaving your legs! The intensive treatment...it's $20 bucks retails and I don't know that it's necessary given the effectiveness of the regular conditioner. This is one of the few lines that has lived up to the statement NO BUILDUP. I have traditionally been a Paul Mitchell girl and while I still think they are a great value---their smoothing shampoo made my hair and scalp greasy and eventually my hair limp and lifeless. Not so in the least with this. This feels very luxurious for the money. — 3 years, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful
