Even though I live in Southern California, I don't know any blondes. And since I'm a brunette, I wasn't sure what to do with the free sample of The Blonde I received with a Lush mail order. But it was too pretty and good-smelling to throw away, so I kept it around. Glad I did. A Lush SA told me that The Blonde is awesome on sunburn. She was right. I have fine textured hair but a lot of it and I absolutely adore this shampoo bar. I had tried several shampoo bars in the past without the best results. This however, is fantastic. It leaves my hair feeling clean, shiny, and with a great texture. I only shampoo once every 3 days so this has also lasted me quite a long time. The smell is fantastic as well! I wouldn't recommend this to people with oily hair but it should be fine for anyone else. Also great to use on a sunburn in the summer! It really does work to lighten hair and make your blonde more brilliant. The Blonde. Sounds dramatic right? The results that you get from this bar of shampoo are more on the subtle side. Having faint natural highlights that are reminants of summers gone by, this worked (works) well for me. To use this slippery bar, I took the whole chunk, passed it through the top and sides of my soaking wet hair, put it back in the container (a plastic one for soup) and then rinsed it out. The results were hair that was soft in a way that is not what we are used to. After a couple of uses, voila! Slightly lighter hair that readily absorbs conditioner. It can be slightly drying, but your hair is shiny and feels great.
