Smells good! Green and earthy, but not much like plants. Maybe mushroomy jungle undergrowth. I love that smell, though. I used this with Jungle conditioner and I have liked the shampoo's performance. I am not a big fan of the flowers and crap jammed into the soap--I don't want to have to pick that out of my hair or shower drain, gross. I bought this because the image online did not imply it had those things in it. Plus once I pull out the big dried flower, I was missing a 1/4" x 1/4" chunk in my bar, which is like 1-2 shampoos, probably! Buh. I do like the dark green way this smells (like a really heavy, less floral Aveda--actually it reminds me sooo much of my dad's old Herbal Essence from the 1970s with the nude girl on the cover with the flowers in her hair, the dark green shampoo--!) and it cleans great, just like the other Lush shampoos I have tried (Hard, Shine). I am addicted to these shampoos; no liquid shampoo cleans as well as I have found these to. Yesterday I woke up with no hot water in the shower, and I skipped my shampoo, and then today I woke up later than I wanted and had to put my hair up in the shower for lack of drying time, and it still looked great, nice and shiny and the oil distribution was even. I probably could have waited another day but I really wanted to try my new shampoo and conditioner that came today. I think each bar lasts me about 1. 5 months, using about every other day. I had 2 bars for Christmas and I am just now running out of my Hard bar (in multiple chips, which are not the easiest to control in the shower) at the end of March '12. Again, make sure you store these on a sponge outside your shower! They won't get all gross and melt if you do that. Make sure your sponge can dry out every day, though (not IN the shower, I store mine on an outside ledge). I love this shampoo. It's fun to use in the shower, and such a small amount is needed each time that I feel this bar is going to last a long, looong time! It lathers really well and rinses out easily enough. To be honest, I absolutely hate the way my hair feels when I get out of the shower and comb it through. It's literally squeaky clean, which sounds wrong to me. Once I got it combed and dried though, my hair looked and felt amazing! I was worried that it would be too clean and dried out, but it wasn't. Smells Good, Lasts Long

I went on a 4-week backpack trip to India & Nepal and had to travel light. This was my shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Such a small bar but it lasted for the entire trip. I highly recommend this for travel. — 6 months, 4 weeks ago

When I first received this item in the mail I thought it seemed a little ... small. Then I tried it and realized that it's small because just a few quick swipes of it over your hair will lather up PLENTY! I have crazy-thick curly hair and I absolutely love both the smell and the effects of this product. Seriously. It gets my hair good and clean without over-stripping it, which both helps cut down on frizz AND keeps my curls from getting too weighed down. I love this shampoo. Not only does it lather nicely, it smells divine. I don't use conditioner at the moment but when dry my hair is soft, silky and sexy. I have been using the same bar for 5 months and I may have shampoo for the rest of the year! — 2 years ago

This stuff is great. I was a little hestitant at first, but i thought, I'd give it a try. I have really long, fine hair and I swipe the bar from the top of my head to the tips and that is all the shampoo you need. I've had my bar for a couple of weeks and it hardly looks used at all. It really leaves your hair soft. And the lather is rich and thick. Fantastic scent. Not overpowering at all. I just wish the scent would last longer.... — 2 years, 4 months ago

Love at first sniff

Okay, I must admit that I am a huge Karma-fanatic and love everything scented like it, so I adored the scent of this shampoo bar. It works so simple: wet the hair, wet the bar, add directly onto hair or rub in your hands and apply the lather onto your hair. Eitherway, it lathers richly and the secnt, THE SCENT! You will notice your hair becoming so soft and clean. Unfortunately the scent does not linger on to your hair, so it will be out of your hair pretty soon. Divine smell, and soft hair

The smell is delicious.- I love the solid shampoos that Lush makes. Not having to deal with the waste of plastic bottles, as well as the fact that this small disk lasts as long as a huge 16 oz bottle of shampoo. Imagine taking your shampoo through security at the airport with no worries about taking too many liquids! This particular one does make hair very soft. If you have coarse hair this would be great. — 3 years ago

Detangles like a DREAM

I couldn't believe it when I used this bar for the first time - the lather detangled my hair as I was washing it! NO other product I've tried has ever done that - and it works on my daughters' snarls too. I don't even have to rub the bar itself onto my hair: I just swish the bar between my hands, put the bar back on the soap rack UNDER the tin Lush gives you (so the tin is like a bus shelter for the bar), and use the residue on my fingers to wash my hair. I cannot say enough about how much I love this! I bought it in Atlantic City where I was spending the weekend and was appalled at the price ($9.50). Once I used it though, I was hooked! I love the smell and it gets my hair so clean! I have pretty healthy but color treated hair. This doesn't strip the color and leaves it super shiny. The bar lasted me almost 3 months of shampooing every other day. I wish the closest store wasn't 2 hours away! I bought this shampoo because I got my husband hooked on solid shampoo bars, but he thought my Godiva was too girly, and Seanik was stripping color from my hair. This has a very subtle citrus and patchouli fragrance, subtle enough that someone who hates patchouli would still probably enjoy it. This is a great product that I can share with my husband, and it definitely gets out hair squeaky clean. My only complaint is that it works so well that I need a good conditioner after using it.
