This did nothing as far as straightening for my teenage daughter's hair. My family has gone through every formula offered by Herbal Essences. We run into the same problem every time...build up. The first 2 or 3 times the shampoos and conditioners worked great and then they starting building up and giving all 4 of us (2 adults, 2 teenagers) oily roots, flakes, and frizzy ends. Did nothing for my tight curls. It might be due to the fact that I'm Black so I expected that. However, it didn't conditioner my hair much and I left it in. It only smells good. I've never had a conditioning issue with HE before so I was shocked. I bought this product thinking it would help cut down the time it takes to straighten my hair in the morning...BIG MISTAKE! It left my hair so oily and weighed down I had to immediately re-wash my hair with another shampoo and conditioner before I could set foot outside!
