I admit I bought this expecting the full-sized one.

But it curled my lashes just as well, even got the tiny baby lashes on the inside and outer corners of my eyes. It just takes a bit more time to get the same curl, although it might not be exactly even due to human tendency to not apply the exact same pressure on the exact same spot on all the lashes. Having muscle spasms in my arms and hands, I have almost injured myself curling my lashes. I bought the mini because I thought I might have more control with the curler being smaller in handle length. The mini did the trick for me. The bigger eyelash curlers have never curled my lashes like the mini shu uemura eyelash curler does. It lets you give your eyelashs different effects by only curling one area of your lashes or wherever else you want. It opens up your eyes so much.
