essie ballerina nail polish
Just received this new essie nail polish in my latest tili box - was very dubious about the lasting quality, ( I can destroy a Chanel varnish in 2 hours just sitting still!!!!) - not chipping etc. as I use my hands constantly - housework, gardening, etc. but I am very very surprised that not only has it stayed put on my nails, but it hasn't chipped or worn thin at the tips. Chipped after 1 day!
I did a lot of research in at him gel mani's before deciding to go with Essie. I was very disappointed after purchasing the base coat, Polish, top coat, cuticle oil etc. that after 24 hours the polish chipped. Not just on one finger, but 3 in total on both hands. Obsessed
I have 3 kids so most of my money is invested into them but buying a bottle that cost barely nine dollars is still worth it. It's long lasting and when I paint my girls nails they actually wear better then any other polish. LOVE!
I am a huge Essie fan. I was always an OPI go-to-girl, but started using Essie since it was less expensive and had alternative colors. Love Essie nail polish
Essie is a great nail polish brand with some great cult favorite colors. My favorite is Mint Candy Apple, a light bluish greenish color. It chipped really quickly!

not worth it
i bought an essie polish about 2 days ago i was super pretty, so like anyone else i put it on my nails, this is where it goes wrong, i put a base coat and waited 1 hours then applied the polish waited then another hour and did not dry i waited so long and it did not dry i tried without base coat never dries and if it does it is not opaque at all i had to out on 5 coats to get full coverage of the ...read morenail, and i bought it Sephora so it was so expensive honestly buy some OPI or some drugstore cheap stuff cause it works so much better then essie and the disappointment and the loss of money is very upsetting when i could have bought OPIThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Looks Pretty, Wore Off Quickly
I bought the color Penny for $8. I'm not much of a nail person, and I've never spent more than a couple dollars on a polish because I rarely use them, but I heard good things about Essie and the color was too awesome to pass up. It did truly look like liquid pennies on my nails. However, even with a top coat, my manicure started chipping within a few hours. I put it on in the morning before school...read more, and by the middle of the day it was chipped along on the top just from writing, typing, reading, and learning all day: no abnormal hand use. Also, polish got stuck in the edge between my nail and skin and was so hard to get off, it stayed there for days. Pleasantly surprised !
I am using Essie polish for the first time. Currently gave myself a manicure and pedicure in the color "licorice" after buying a bunch of Essie polish about a week ago at target. A decided to buy Essie after not being able to find certain other brands or specific colors.. I was browsing and fell in love with all the gorgeous colors. When I applied "licorice" I did so with a gel base coat, top coat...read more, and uv lamp and was surprised and how well this regular, no gel polish worked in this combination as I do not often like drying my nails the old fashion way. I must say the con is it takes a little longer to dry under the lamp then needs to air dry for a while before being able to touch anything, and the big toe got smudged even after drying so I had to redo it. All in all I'm happy with Essie , these aren't gel polish but I made them work as that for myself so can't really complain. Some of the Essie polishes I now own include, the fore mentioned "licorice", a perfect, yet simple black, "she's pampered" a dark sorta off red, "peach side babe" a pretty peachy orange, "lilacism" explanatory it's a lilac, "no more film" a gorgeous deep dark purple that reminds me of Deborah Lippmann "dark side of the moon", a luxe glitter top coat and some others.
