Better than Maybelline Full N' Soft...
With the humid Summer heat already upon me, I thought I should try either a waterproof mascara or some type of long wearing mascara. I had a BOGO coupon for CoverGirl, so I thought I would try out their waterproof Lash Blast. I tried the Full N' Soft waterproof by Maybelline and it was disappointing. I definitely like the Lash Blast Waterproof better. There was minimal clumping and I thought it stayed on better, with no flaking or smudging underneath. The only thing I wish was better was more length and volume. I like a mascara where 2 coats is enough for ample volume and lift; I felt like I had to apply 3. It also didn't leave my lashes dry or cause them to fall out, like some waterproof mascaras do. Good for the price!

Great mascara
I have stick straight Asian eyelashes and mascara has a tendency to smudge and make my dark circles even more noticeable, but this one works great and doesn't smudge at all! I wouldn't say that it's waterproof exactly (more like very water resistant) and there is a little clumping to worry about (an eyelash comb would not go amiss), but this mascara does make my eyelashes significantly darker, longer, and thicker while not flaking, smudging, or smearing! — 9 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 2 people said helpful

Brush needs to be re-designed
The formula for this mascara is nice. It doesn't seem to flake or clump much. However, the brush makes application difficult. It narrows too much halfway down, and there are nearly no bristles there to coat and separate the lashes at the inner third portion of our eyes (you can see that the bristles are super-short). If the brush was fat with long bristles (at it is on the other end) for it's entire length, it would be easier to apply. What is up with these fat tubes?!
I've tried several other of CoverGirl's lash blast mascara, and though this is pretty waterproof--it's also pretty hard to take off and clumps more than it should. It also flakes after 6 or so hours, and the tube is ridiculously large.
