Works well

A friend of mine has this curl stick and she let me try it. It works well but I prefer hot rollers for my thick coarse hair. The curls did not last all day with this curl stick the way they do when I use hot rollers. But it works well for her fine hair.

Hello, imperfectly perfect curls!

This gives more natural looking results than a curling or flat iron. It takes a little getting used to... but what doesn't? All you do to get carefree curls is take a 1/2'' to 1'' section of hair and wrap it around the barrel, hold, and release. You might have to be careful about not burning the tips of your fingers or your palm or forearms on this one, because you do all the work, as opposed to a curling iron that does the work for you. 10 stars for a great new hair hot tool!

Love it!

I found this on sale on Black Friday at a local department store's salon (70% off!). I love that it heats up so quickly and has so many heat settings. I use it on the higher settings when I want tighter, more defined curls and on the mid-range settings when I'm looking for more imperfect, beachy waves. The only thing that would've made it better is if it came with a heatproof glove. Oh well, it's still a great styling tool and the thick barrel makes beautiful waves and curls.

Works well!

I see these all the time on youtube. They seem to work really well. Also, a friend of mine has them and taught me how to curl her hair with it. It always works perfectly and leaves spirals.

Better than a curling iron

I was hesitant to use this because it looks very different than a regular curling iron, but it works better! I have very fine hair which never holds curls until I tried this out.
