Works well
A friend of mine has this curl stick and she let me try it. It works well but I prefer hot rollers for my thick coarse hair. The curls did not last all day with this curl stick the way they do when I use hot rollers. Hello, imperfectly perfect curls!
This gives more natural looking results than a curling or flat iron. It takes a little getting used to... but what doesn't? All you do to get carefree curls is take a 1/2'' to 1'' section of hair and wrap it around the barrel, hold, and release. Love it!
I found this on sale on Black Friday at a local department store's salon (70% off!). I love that it heats up so quickly and has so many heat settings. I use it on the higher settings when I want tighter, more defined curls and on the mid-range settings when I'm looking for more imperfect, beachy waves. The only thing that would've made it better is if it came with a heatproof glove.
