Smashbox O-Glow

Not for those who don't like surprises. Once you figure out how to open the tube (remove the tiny plastic seal), you may gush over the silky feel of the silicone-based gel. It squeezes out clear but begins to turn pink on your finger before morphing into shockingly bright fuchsia on cheeks. Thorough blending takes the unflattering color down to a calm, super-sheer pink -- if you manage not to rub it all off in a panic.

    I actually like this

I'm not sure whether it really reacts with my "personal chemistry" or not (the clear-to-color could just be a gimmick), but I do like the natural and subtle blushing look it gives me. As people have said here it may turn out the same color on everyone, regardless, I like the color. Just remember, you only need a little! The hot pink color I got when first applying it definitely was a little surprising, but after gently blending it in I was very happy with the results and use it nearly every day! April 30, 2008, 2:07 pm I really like this - you only need to put a very little bit and it'll give you nice, natural looking rosey cheeks. Don't be put off by the fact that it initially looks like a pink highlighter on our fingertips. It changes once on your face. When you first use it - only use a tiny drop on each cheek and then build up to the darkness you like. But I only use a drop - that's enough for me. And it really lasts - stays on my face all day. Just Doesn't Work for Me

I really, really wanted to like O-Glow, but alas, 'twas not to be. I have to use a fairly full-coverage foundation, which might be part of the problem, since it mixes & smears with whatever else is on my face at the time. I also found that I can only use a TINY drop or else I get an unnaturally doll-pink mess that is very unflattering on my skin tone. And as for "your perfect shade", be aware that the color won't really change based on your skin- just the intensity (when we tested it on our hands, my husband and I got almost the exact shade, even though I am fair with pink undertones and he is medium with olive tones.) O what a Glow!

    by KatieCarter (5 reviews)
I had heard rave reviews from friends about this product and decided to test it myself. I loved the idea that it formulated its color once on your skin. I LOVE IT. It doesn't really matter how much ends up on your cheeks...one dot or 4. Because once you blend it into the skin it turns the perfect cotton candy pink flush. Didn't make me break out and I am prone, easy to use and to take off! February 20, 2008, 9:37 pm

    Great Blush

Surely, there is always a risk of looking like Tammy Faye if you apply too much of this blush on, but in all actuality it doesn't take too much thought or intelligence to get the right amount of color on. O-Glow is Oh NO!

O-Glow seems to be the Smashbox answer to those "mood lipsticks" of the '80s. You know, the ones that would look yellow or green in the tube that would allegedly turn into your ideal color once you applied it to your lips? And inevitably your "ideal" color would turn out to be electric fuschia or neon orange? Remember the disappointment? Expect no less from this product. Try Smashbox blush in Proof Sheet or Cargo BluRay blush for a better flush. February 21, 2008, 9:30 am

    Fresh face

    by bemyvalentine (18 reviews)
This stuff is great when you put it on. The hue is subtle and rosy. I would wish it to be a little less expensive and have more staying power throughout the day. But, the fact that a little does go a long way with this product and I'm addicted to that flush look keeps me coming back to this product. May 20, 2008, 9:01 am

    Not for me

    by elizab48 (68 reviews)
If you like hot pink cheeks, then this blush is for you. Judging by all the reviews, this blush does not "adapt" to everyone's skin tones, it just always comes out the same on everyone. Not worth the price at all. May 6, 2008, 4:52 pm

    Remember Mood Lipsticks?

    by MissArcher (29 reviews)
It's the same concept as this stuff. But the idea that it tailors to your color needs is laughable. It's a bright pink on everyone. Everyone. So, if you are looking for a bright pink gel blush that lasts all day... great stuff. Want something more subtle and natural? Or irritated by the marketing premise of this? Don't buy ...
