I bet her skin is amazing, considering what it can do when used sparingly on your face. Your wallet may be crying and empty, but your skin will be glowing. Even just with a sample that I received from the Bloomingdale's cosmetics counter last year I could see results. My skin looked so much better and most of all felt amazing. The lines on my face seemed to just get filled in overnight. Worked for me and if I had a million dollars I'd buy another jar immediately! I don't know if this cream can actually deliever on it's claim to undo skin damage. I do know that it feels so good on that I near forget the cost of it. I hate being Debbie Downer, but I tried this, gave it a month's test-drive, did my research, and can only give this a rating of 5. Yes, it does moiturize, and yes, sometimes there is nothing better than a placebo -- which in my first few days I wanted to believe this product would be the answer to anti-aging -- but this so-called "cult moisturizer/miracle broth" didn't have any significant effect on my skin. (I have been using high-end products for a long time, so I don't always expect to see dramatic results." With ingredients such as sea kelp, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, lecithin, Vitamins C, E and B12, plus oils of citrus, eucalyptus, wheat germ, alfalfa, and sunflower, it is a lovely concoction, but for over $150, save your duckets. According to La Mer, the "miracle broth is distilled and fermented in a special method for 3-4 months and it's the fermentation that gives the broth special oomph. Fermatation my skin! Best moisturizer I have ever used! You can see the difference after just one application! Yes it is very pricey. But let's do the math here. I have dry combination+sensitive+acne prone skin. My normal routine after facial cleanser sometimes would be :1, mask. 2. toner. 3. eye cream. 4, serum. 5, moisturizer. 6. acne products. It is absolutly ridiculous & horrible! This product is rather pricey, especially when compared to other brands, but that being said, it is absolutely worth it. I have very dry skin, and this product does an amazing job of clearing up the dryness and just making my skin feel amazing. After reading about this product for years, I decided to purchase a small sample jar on Ebay. I am so glad I did! This product is wonderfully moisturizing and life changing if you have dry, flaky skin. I have dry, flaky skin when I use Retin A. So, I use Creme De Le Mer and I am good to go. All you need is a very small amount warmed in your fingers before you apply. Everything I have read states it is best to apply this product by patting it into the skin, so that is how I apply it. Once it is applied, my skin is so moisturized, so healthy looking that I am amazed. Note: I would NOT use this product during the day. My skin in reality is quite oily. So, no way would I use this in the day time. Nor do I use it every night...just when I have the dry skin due to Retin A. Truly, I have never used anything like this. I had been using the whole LaMer line for about three years and was very happy with the results. Last year I started to feel a little disgruntled about the cost. After much research I tried several things in the Kiehl's line. Nothing I tried was comparable to my CDLM. My pores got large again, frown lines came back, a my firm skin began to fade quick. I have been using my creme for 3 weeks now and my skin is rebounding nicely. Worth every penny!!!!
