Sally Hansen
Sticky mess. Couldn't smell the lavender at all, and the consistency was more like syrup than wax. It stuck to the skin and didn't remove any hair. — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Don't let this near your skin!
I was excited to use this product. It has a nice smell, includes post-wax oil, strips, several spatulas, and is microwavable. That said, it is a HORRIBLE wax. If it gets on anything, even your skin (yes), good luck getting it off. Even with lots of oil and picking, some wax was still stuck to my body for a few days. Gross. Although it did get rid of the hair well, it came at a cost. My skin was irritated and horribly bruised for a week. I know bruising from waxing isn't unheard of, but this product is the only one that's caused me to bruise. I think this product is no longer sold, but if you ever come across it, just run away! — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

find the right thickness.
the tough part is learning how to layer the wax properly and how hot it should be. its something you need to practice like with any cosmetic or other hair removal method. it has a great smell, easily heated, plenty of it, and the stickiness gives a good grip on the hair. and the strips it comes with are not bad for a kit. the azulene oil is as good as any kit ive used. You just need to play around with the wax a bit to find what thickness works for you. everyone is a bit different. trust me! — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

not good
I used this the first time I ever tried waxing so I thought it was just my inexperience that was the problem. After reading the reviews though I realized it wasn't my fault. This wax is impossible to work with, it has a really odd consistency and is really messy. It managed to remove so hairs but not close to all. I did the front of one leg and then moved to the next leg. I gave up on it completely when I looked at the leg I did first and saw how irritated my skin was. I know waxing causes some irritation but I knew this wasn't normal so I stopped. I tried to get the left over wax off my skin but it was completely stuck and my skin hurt so bad I couldn't even try to scrub or scratch it off. Basically I ended up with bright red, splotchy, and scaly skin (this lovely look lasted 2 days) that still had large patches of hair left over. I couldn't shave or wax again because I knew my skin just couldn't take it. Don't go near this stuff. — 10 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Broke out
I used this product on mu husband's back and chest... and it was a rather harsh experience! It was hard to find the correct temperature for the wax in the first place. Once we did, we followed the instructions. It took off the hair, yes, but with it, came some of his skin! He bled in several places. The wax was rather hard to remove as well. He stayed smooth, although red, for about a day before his back and chest broke out in yellow bumps allover! It was the worst! We use hair removal cream now. I was considering using this for my bikini area until I saw what happened with him... Now I won't get that stuff near me! Also, we thought about giving it a second shot, but the cap was totally stuck on. Not even when we microwaved it would the lid come off... We will not be using this product again. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Waste of Money
This wax kit was the worst. The wax in the little tube wouldn't come out until you heated it forever, then when it was cool enough to put on, it wouldn't spread at all. I pretty much had to start over with something else. I have really liked Sally Hansen's wax products in the past. It seems just when you like it, they discontinue it and bring on something worse. The best I have found is Anastasia's brow kit. At $12, it will give you about 5 good waxes. — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Ow.
I got this because I thought that it would be better for my sensitive-ish skin with the lavender. And while it smells alright, it hardly takes ANY hair off, just leaves you with burnt and sticky skin. I tried lots of different temperatures, and the consistency is only right when it's TOO hot for your skin. After so much pain and so many ruined towels, I chucked the remaining wax. Don't waste your money, effort, or precious skin! — 1 year, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Buy this, and Paint thinner...
Bought the stuff, applied to my armpits and my legs... and didn't take ANY hair off. The worst part is that it wouldn't come off with water, or my trusty old nail polish remover that takes any sticky messes off, or anything! Finally my mom found some PAINT THINNER! It barely worked and after 15 min some pieces started coming off. Then i rinsed like crazy but my poor pits were raw after :( — 2 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Would not recommend!
Not very good product. Is very sticky and messy and barely gets the hairs out. Smells great haha that's pretty much the pro about this product. — 3 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

i like this procut!
these are great, but you need to do it correctly! first off, you always need the skin to be moistured the night before. second, the day of waxing you need to apply a little baby powder, put a thing layer of wax in direction of hair growth, hold skin down and pull in opposite direction as quick as possible. never do same area twice, you risk pulling skin out. if you use the product correctly, it works great! i love it, because the results last way longer than shaving. ofcouse u can miss a few hairs. but you can just use strips to get the extra hairs here and there a day later-when ur skin is no longer than sensitive. i do get bumps right after, but when you apply the oil to your skin it does the trick. — 3 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful
