    this product is truly exceptional. apply it to the inner lid of the upper lash line - you will need to purchase the special flat eyeliner brush too. it defines the eyes in a very subtle, yet dramatic way. it truly is make up that enhances your natural beauty. i got the blu marine and was slightly dubious about the colou...r but the LM rep assured me it was the best colour for me. And she was right. it doesn't look like you are wearing loads of make up - just that you have a naturally thick, beautiful lashes. can't leave the house without this now! :) February 26, 2008, 8:46 am

    Perfec eyes every time

    I had been dying to try this product for ages. I have tried just about every eyeliner out there. Pencils smeared, I can't seem to master getting liquid to look right. I have the Bobbi Brown gel which I love, but I have the dark black color. I needed something a little more subtle for day. Browns tend to make my brown eyes a...nd olive skin look drab, so I went for this in blue (Bleu Marine). I have very large eyes, so tightlining is a bit of a waste on me, I just put this on like regular eyeliner. I love that you can build the color up. I tend to be a messy eyeliner-apply-er (always pressed for time with kids) so it was impossible to wear liquid, and I had to keep a tissue handy when trying to apply the gel. The cake liner is practically goof-proof. Even if I am paying no attention to what I am doing, the application is natural, softly smoky and beautiful. I do notice I need to build the color up a bit to get the definition I want, but that may be just because I am used to jet black gel. This is an AMAZING liner, a beautiful color for brown eyes. It is very easy to do a smoky look using only this product, or you can make it look natural just as an everyday liner. Highly recommended. December 27, 2007, 11:13 am

    Great For Oily Lids

    I love cake eyeliner, since it's the only kind I can get to stay on my oily eyelids. Before this, the only other kind I had was Clinique's, and their colors are really weak. I just bought the Bleu Marine, and it's fabulous. The dark dark blue really makes me look awake. I plan to go buy the black today for a more formal... look. I've had my Laura Mercier eyeliner brush for 10 years now, and these two products together are just the best. (Granted, the application can be a bit tricky to learn -- when I bought the brush, I also got a lesson from the national artist.) November 23, 2007, 6:22 am

    Best make-up tip ever!

    I love this product, but I especially love the special method the LM make-up artist taught me to apply it. It's called the "tight line." You need the flat LM eyeliner brush (I recommend the travel size) and a bit of a steady hand, but you will love the effect of thicker lashes while not looking "made-up."...; I bought Bleu Marine and I am hooked on this color and product.     This is a great eyeliner, IF you tightline and use the LM eyelining brush. It lasts all day (and night) and looks great. It does take some practice to get the tightlining right, once you do you'll never use another eyeliner. April 29, 2008, 4:54 am

    I am addicted to this

    I've had these for at least 2 or 3 years. My favorite is black, but I also have blue and brown. I like that they're easy to use when you get the hang of it. I like that I can put the eyeliner on in the morning and it's still there well into the afternoon. This stuff is miracle stuff, really! Plus, they don't contain ko...hl! Get it. For a dramatic, standout look for your eyes...there is nothing else out there that works this well. December 15, 2007, 9:15 pm

    Laura Mercier Eye Liner in Blue Marine

    I love this color which is a cross between gun metal gray and slate blue. The liner is actually applied under the lashes with a brush - pay up and look big ladies - which takes time to get used to. However, did you ever wonder how the stars using Laura Mercier products look so good, so naturally? Its because of tricks like ...this.     I love how this eyeshadow/eyeliner looks on. The product is designed to work as an eyeliner on the bottom and top lids and absolutely transforms the face. It makes the eyes absolutely pop and is gorgeous with the flat eyeshadow brush that they sell separate. November 6, 2007, 11:25 am

    Long lasting

    This eyeliner is my favorite. You can put it on in the morning and it lasts all day. I have tried all different brands and this is the absolute best ! I have learned to tight line, thanks to the LM make-up artist. My lashes look thicker, without looking "made-up"! May 6, 2008, 2:24 pm

    Okay, I am not the best makeup applier in the world but this stuff is awesome. It is not as difficult to put on as liquid liner but can still give you that look.   • Use with the Flat Eye Liner Brush, Pointed Eye Liner Brush or both Dip the brush into clean water, then work the Eye Liner into a thick paste Use the point of the Flat Eye Liner Brush to dot Eye Liner between individual lashes - a personal technique of Laura Mercier's For added definition, use either brush to apply another line of colour just above the roots of the upper lashes & just below the roots of the lower lashes - reapply for added intensity, specifically on the upper lid & at the outer corners If desired, alter the shape of the line to slightly redefine or enhance the shape of the eyes - slightly lifting the line at the outward corner adds lift to the eye Afraid of liquid liner? Try this: Create a very sheer line with a drier brush & less water - go over a second time if you want to add more color
