I know they're bad for the environment, but I strongly prefer using aerosol can hairsprays than the spray. I did not like the distribution that I got from this spray top-- it was uneven and way too wet. The product was sticky and had a very strong alcohol smell. It really does freeze your hair in place, but that may not be such a good thing. The hold is completely inflexible and a little crunchy to the touch. — 2 months, 3 weeks ago

Good non-aerosol hair spray

I am not a huge fan of hairsprays in general but I do have to use them sometimes and this Pual Mitchell Freeze and Shine is definitely one of the best. It adds shine and hold. Make sure you apply evenly or you will see flakes and stiff hair. — 2 months ago

yes, it adds shine. yes, it holds all day and night (literally, my sister had this on for two days and it stayed). this hairspray smells very very very good for a hairspray. it is very great for curls because its a light spray. i will say this though: i do not use it because it makes my hair crunchy. my hair type cannot handle this. i only use leave in cremes because i want soft curls. otherwise, its a great spray. i think this is one of those salon products that is actually worth the money --most aren't. — 2 years, 8 months ago

Amazingly strong

Wow! Such a great strong shiny hold!! I like the fact that this is not an aerosol - which means you pump the spray, as opposed to having a continuous stream. When I need a lot of hold, this is my number 1. Doesn't flake, dry my hair out, or smell gross. A GREAT hairspray! I have very long, full hair and like to wear it straight or wavy or curly, depending on my mood. This fantastic hair spray is for every style. I haven't found a comparable hair spray anywhere that holds my style but allows it to move. It isn't heavy or sticky or flaky. You can brush through it several times and it won't turn to powder.
