Dissapointed

I'm a huge fan of The Body Shop and the mango line so I was excited to try out this lip butter because the body version is a dream. I was very dissapointed, as the other reviewers have mentioned the product gradually turns very waxy and grimy feeling. It just doens't have that nice smooth feel and instead feels like I have crumbs stuck to my mouth. It also has this slightly opaque whitness to it w...read morehich makes your lips look odd. And the smell.... sigh. I LOVE the smell of the other mango products in TBS's line but this just smelled totally different! It almost feels too greasy to be a lip butter. I think TBS needs to refprmulate this product as well as the other lip buters they offer as I did not notice much difference from the other options.

Too waxy

This lipbalm is not buttery at all, but rather waxy. It seems to harden over time, making the product even more waxier. It doesn't spread on nor glide over the lips nicely at all. I love the mango smell, but too bad that goes bad after a while too. Disappointing.

Just Terrible.

The lip butter smelled weird, had an oddly bitter aftertaste, and was rather gritty upon application. It felt a whole ton smoother as you swirled your fingertip in the jar but once it was on it just gritted up somehow. Odd. It also had a weird greasy feel to it rather than an oily or smooth or creamy one. I expected more of a creamy consistency once applied, but this just melted into a gross mess....read more I could have used plain old unsalted butter from my fridge with better results. Plus there are a bunch of weird chemicals that don't really fit in with The Body Shop's whole "green" and "natural" thing it has going on. WTF, I'm not buying this again, ever. Don't buy it, there are many other things you could blow five dollars on that will serve you better than this. Take care :-)

Another Disappointment

I love body shop and keep hoping against hope that I will like one of their lip butters. But alas besides the smell I like nothing else about this. Hydrates for maybe 30 mins and then just feels waxy and dry. For the price and the brand I had such high hopes.

Love it!

I have tried this and I LOVE it!! It is my favourite lip butter and its great! It has a nice flavour! I'd recommend it!

Looks great while it's on.

The mango lip butter one doesn't become white and chalky on the lips like some other ones do. It melts beautifully and glides on the lips easily. it makes my lips look glossy and is great to put on under lipstick. It makes lips look full and glossy, however, for some weird reason, I did notice my lips flaking a little afterwards. Not major flakes, but I can feel flakes on my lips when I rub them together after an half an hour after application.

yummy smell, but not for lips

i love the way this smells.. but the texture just feels odd on my lips and they take on an almost opaque whiteness or paleness no matter how little i use. i just used this up on my hands! i love the body shop but this is a nooo gooo for lips.

A new twist for your lips.

This lip butter is so moiturizing for my lips. I love the scent of mango for summer, but wasn't able to leave it in my purse at the beach because it would get too melty and grainy. however, to throw it in my purse for shopping or bumming around town is excellent!

Great scent...

and soft lips. But the texture went bad before I could finish the pot. It got really grainy. But before that... it was a nice product!
