Impressive Sunscreen/Unimpressive Tinted Cream
La Roche-Posay Anthelios Tinted SPF 50+ Creme for Face is a tinted foundation with maximum strength, broad spectrum UVA/UVB SPF 50 sunscreen for the face with Mexoryl XL and Mexoryl SX. According to dermatologists, Mexoryl SX is the most effective UVA-blocking ingredient currently available. It has been used in Canada and Europe since 1993 but approved by the FDA for use in the U.S. in July 2006. With very few products on the market that contain Mexoryl, this is a ten-star sunscreen, but unfortunately, the tint was almost transparent. Although I never leave the house without either this Anthelios product or Anthelios Fluide Extreme, their application is purely as a sunscreen. — 5 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

I prefer the Fluid version
This is the cream version of the Anthelios XL tinted fluid spf50+. Just like the fluid version, this comes in a very sheer medium tan tint; much sheerer than typical tinted moisturizers. The tint is not enough to cover small blemishes and hyperpigmentation. Instead it leaves a slight wash of color. On my medium tan skin tone, the color is virtually invisible and blends right in. The tint is not enough to cover blemishes and/or hyperpigmentation so if you seek that kind of coverage you may have to wear foundation on top of this. With all that said, this is the best chemical sunscreen I have used in terms of protection, texture and cosmetic elegance. I live in Hawaii and I don't tan through this thing at all even if I had been in direct sunlight for several hours. I used this (and the fluid version) when I was using Retin-A which made my skin ultra sensitive to UV light. The protection was simply unparalleled compared to US based sunscreens which still caused me to tan. I took off a star because the cream version was a bit heavy and shiny for my oily complexion. I prefer the fluid version of this sunscreen which was significantly lighter in texture and felt like I had nothing on my face. Also, like the fluid version, this product did not cause me to break out. I have acne prone skin and it's hard for me to find a sunscreen that doesn't give me pimples by the second day. This is one of a few that doesn't. Highly recommended if you don't mind wearing chemical sunscreens. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

The best!
I love this product because it provides moisture, heavy duty sunscreen and a little tint. Some of the anthelios products look white when you put them on your face, but this one is skin colored. Don't expect ceverage from the tint, but just a natural glow. I use it under my powder and it's a perfect balance. — 5 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful

tint rubs off
I use this with make up and without. Fine with makeup. When wearing for sun protection it surely works but the tint rubs off on clothes and runs, burns eyes. I would give up tint for more comfort! — 5 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

not bad
It gives an average moisturizing effect to my combo/oily skin and creates a little bit dryness if i don't use a secondary moisturizer under it, but if i use my regular moisturizer under, then my skin shines too much. And the color is not effective, for example when i use Dermalogica's tinted moisturizer, i don't need any other foundation, but this product doesn't give enough color and has no coverage. So i have to use some makeup. But i love the sun protection factor in it, the great combination of all best ingredients. Protects perfectly. — 5 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful
