This is a stiff hold for my fine hair. I prefer a more natural flexible hold which I expected from the "sheer" description in the name. This product is good for more coiffed looks. It really holds all day and is not sticky. It does make my hair shiny and does not irritate my scalp. I do not get the blonde or brunette thing--I tried both and did not notice any difference--the result is the same as other quality hair product lines so I think it is just a gimmick.
