If you color your hair yourself.. then you MUST try this product!!!

by the1christy (1 review)
I was looking to change my hair color from brown with blonde highlights to black. I bought this product from a local store and was a little hesitant to use it, when I did i was so happy with it, it did not leave my hair dry or smelling like chemicals. Depending on the length and thickness of your hair the Glaze will last 6 weeks or more. I will contuie to use this hair color as long as I do my hair. I have turned all my friends on to it also!! If you color your own hair then you MUST try!!10/26/2007

I travel a lot and found that even though I had the formula my salon used, it came out differenly when someone else applied it. I saw an ad on TV and thought I would give Revlon Colorist a try. I now receive compliments on my natural looking auburn color wherever I go. The color is so soft and not harsh. I recently visited a new beauty salon and was just so pleased when the stylist asked where I had my hair colored. She told me how beautiful the color was. How totally surprised she was when I told her my husband colored it for me at home and that it was Revlon Colorist. Auburn 55 is the exact likeness of the color I had when I was growing up. The glaze that is included is applied instead of condition once a week and helps keep the beautiful color from fading. I also appreciate the help and expertise of the Revlon support line. You can call them on the telephone and they will answer any questions you might have. It is always great to know there is someone out there to help you when your aren't quite sure what to do. I have also received e-mail coupons from Revlon after speaking to them which always come in hand. It is a great product that I am sure you will love as much as I do. May 1, 2008, 7:25 pm

In the summer, I color it blonde, In the Spring, I color it golden blonde with light shades of brown highlights, and in the Spring, I color my hair Strawberry Blonde. This hair dye is the only one that colors my hair perfectly. It also makes my hair shine twice as long as the other ones do. It also lasts longer in your hair. The colors doesnt seem to fade out. I would highly recommend this product. Also, it doesn't have a strong hair dye odor. April 29, 2008, 8:34 pm

The color was not as the box advertised. The shade was not even close to the picture on the box. I was looking for a little red/gold and got an ash. What was a plesent surprise was that I got several compliments on the color. I have used two different colors and on both people out of the blue would notice and say how nice the color was. Even my hair dresser asked me what I was using (in a good way). I believe this IS a \"salon quality\" product and I have tried a couple different color #\'s and plan on one or two shades more to try. I went back to a previous product and now after I have used this one, the old product just doesn\'t make the grade. This is worth the extra money. The shades are nicer even though the #80 box color was misleading I give it a #10 December 9, 2007, 6:20 am

October 26, 2007, 12:26 pm I've tried several different brands of haircolor over the years to cover my gray and jazz up my dull brown to a shiny auburn. This product is excellent! It's easy to use, not as smelly as some, and keeps my hair healthy, despite being colored. The colorglaze is wonderful for revving up the red in my hair and adding the shine that tends to dull over time with colored hair. I actually had a hairstylist tell me she loves the color and didn't know that it WAS colored until she shampooed me! You can't get any better than that. October 26, 2007, 12:26 pm

Difficult to get on evenly with long hair

February 7, 2008, 12:00 am I have to admit I haven't had much experience with home hair coloring, however after a trip to the salon cost me $120 with no real noticeable color difference, I decided to try the "at home" route and this is the product I purchased. I chose a color that, according to the box, would give my dark brown hair a nice, warm cinnamon red hint. The directions tell you to not get the colorant on your scalp but it also then tells you to use the tip of the bottle to part and color your hair at the roots and then to either comb or otherwise work the colorant into your roots and evenly distribute throughout. Maybe this is something accomplished more aptly with practice but I felt it nearly impossible to both keep the colorant off my scalp but at my roots. What I ended up with was essentially spotty coloring near my roots and on my scalp both. I am simply happy that my hair is dark enough that it's not grossly apparent. I also found the color to be more purple-ish in hue than a natural, dark cinnamon. I haven't used the glaze yet but I'm hoping that will even out my coloring a bit better. February 7, 2008, 12:00 am

    Love it!

    by dawiggs01 (3 reviews)
I have been coloring my own hair for almost 20 years and this is the most natural hair color and the longest lasting. It covers the gray decently, but what really helps is the glaze you use every week. The glaze really keeps your hair color looking vibrant and fresh. March 1, 2008, 7:35 pm

    Only product I'd recommend.

Mine lasts a good 8 to 10 weeks which is WAY longer than any other hair color because each time you use the refresher, it's like coloring all over again, just in small doses. Great product!
