    Silky smooth hair

I'm always sceptical about shampoos and conditioners that have commercials with ridiculously shiny-haired models. Usually they're perfectly fine but leave me disappointed. However, even though my hair will never be as shiny as the Nutri Gloss Girl's, I have to admit to loving this shampoo & the matching conditioner. My ...hair is very long and gets tangled and dry easily - this shampoo left it soft, manageable and smelling delicious! A great buy and good value too. February 15, 2008, 1:34 pm

    really does add gloss

    by smshin (3 reviews)
my initial 3-4 uses of this pearlescent shampoo did make my hair feel softer and silkier, but by the end of the week (i wash my hair daily), it felt a little "weighed down" and oilier by whatever ingredient is used to create the glossy effect. overall, i still like this shampoo (which i use along with the conditi...oner), but would recommend interchanging it with a lighter one to avoid any possible build up. Better than most salon brands

    by durhamama (35 reviews)
I have tried a lot of shampoo over the years. I've spent a fortune on salon brands only to be disappointed. I decided to give this stuff a try and I'm glad I did. It leaves my long, color-treated hair feeling silky and shiny, not dry and brittle like most shampoos (even the expensive ones) It smells great too. It works best... if you use it followed by the conditioner. May 23, 2008, 6:37 am

    Great!

I have a very sensitive scalp, I normally stick to head and shoulders but I heard rave reviews about this product so I gave it a try. I love love love it. The scent is nice and mild, the lathers well and best of all, it doesn't irritate my scalp at all. I have very thick, red hair which I straighten everyday and this leaves... my hair pretty smooth when used with its conditioner ( that doesn't have the same nice scent which is kinda strange). Anyway, great bang for the buck! January 16, 2008, 8:49 pm

    VaVaVa - VOOM

This shampoo is moisturizing, causes minimal build up, nourishes your hair and coats it to replenish the thirst of dry hair. I cause heat damage to my with styling tools and products so even with daily use, the performance of this product isn't decreased. Most shampoos I have used I have found it would strip the moisture ...of my hair, cause frizz, and tangles. This isn't any problem with this shampoo, the scent is light and fresh, and the results are shiny, healthy looking lovely locks of lush hair. It's also easier on your hair brush. less pulling and less snagging! November 29, 2007, 11:55 pm

Great for long hair that's damaged

    by monalisalemos (2 reviews)
I love this product. I have really long layered hair that I am constantly abusing with blow dryers, flat irons and curling irons. This Shampoo literally saves my hair. I have less split ends and fly aways. I would suggest this Shampoo to anyone who is tired of paying high prices for salon products because this works just as... well. November 29, 2007, 5:18 pm

Lots of suds but lots of chemicals

L'Oreal hair careL'Oreal hair care The Nutri Gloss line comes in several varities: for medium to long hair that's damaged (this is the one I tested), for medium to long hair that's curly and wavy, and for medium to long hair that's normal to fine. My hair is far from long... it's actually chin length at the current time a...nd it seemed a bit strange that this line "assumes" everyone has "medium to long" hair. Odd, right? Anyhow, the shampoo and conditioner smelled nice. It's a bit of a floral scent. It really reminded me of those little bath ball that we used as kids. The little pink rubbery 'bubble' balls that you dropped in the tub and the skin around them dissolved. Does anyone remember them? That's what this line smells like. The shampoo was very sudsy and cleaned pretty well. I didn't have any extraneous buildup. However, the detergents are pretty strong, so if you color your hair- this may strip it faster than a more gentle (or sulfate-free) shampoo. Conditioner- well, it worked nicely. It didn't make my fine hair limp or greasy, but I still had to work through some tangles and the humidity seemed to affect it pretty strongly the next day. If you need moisture, this conditioner is probably too mild for you. It also contains quite a bit of alcohol which can dry and frizz hair. As for the glossy effects that were promised... I didn't notice any extra shine or pizazz from my hair, no more so than any other shampoo or conditioner that's loaded with 'cones (i.e. dimethicone and silicone sealants that can make your hair shiny). Again, if you have super fine or damaged hair (even though this one is billed for 'damaged hair') I wouldn't recommend this product. Alcohol, silicones and dimethicones can really dry your hair out with repeated use. If you use them, I typically tell people to look for products where they are further down the ingredients list so there's a bit less in the makeup of the product. (For the record, the shampoo lists dimethicone fourth, and the conditioner has a 'cone in the third spot, with alcohol in the second spot.) September 27, 2008, 12:28 pm

    Gorgeous!

    by lesann (29 reviews)
I love this shampoo! I have very long hair and I use a lot of products on it, and this gets rid of the build-up. Your hair feels so clean after you wash it,I worried that it might make my hair dry, but it didn't! My hair looked healthy and full of shine. It smells pretty good too> February 12, 2008, 10:36 pm

    Smells like Jelly Beans!

Orlando Pita plugged Vive Pro Nutri Gloss in an issue of T Magazine (sure, Pita is sponsored/works for L'Oreal), and I thought - at $4 a pop, I can try it. And I loved it! I just switched from my favorite - Ojon - to this to spruce up my haircare regimen and I was impressed. Definitely worth it - my hair was light and s...till well conditioned. And the scent is great.
