If your foundation/powder has no SPF, apply this one
Some of my foundation/power products do not have any SPF. Before I use them, I apply Clinique City Block Sheer Oil-Free Daily Face Protector SPF 25. It also helps foundation and power to stay on my face better and longer. Good product!
Keeps oil at bay and feels nice. It has some color to it, and I am not sure why. It's almost like a tinted moisturizer with more tint than actual moisture. It works well, and I do like the little bit of coverage it offers. Usually cliniques liquid foundations or tint look like the color of hotdogs to me lol. Like this pink cast is in it. Anyway, I'm nevertheless always snooping around the clinique counter because they always have something new out. I saw this city block and I've heard of it but always thought it was like regular facial sunscreen. O was I wrong. It's a physical sunscreen so it's less likely to break you out. It's tinted and it's not pink or beige! Way to go clinique! I tested it out on my hand and it didn't turn orange. Its oil free but I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin unless you like the Dewey look like me. Good for daily use
I use this every day as a sunscreen and foundation. With acne prone skin you have to be careful of sunscreens causing breakouts but I can say after using this product for many months that it not the case here. Lasts all day
I tried the City Block products when Clinique first started making them. I didn't care much for them as they didn't offer a whole lot of spf and they were very heavy. Desperate to find something (I am bad about not using daily spf) I decided to give it another try. Undecided on wether I should choose the sheer spf 25 or the spf 40 I used the online consultant the Clinique site offers. I am always on the lookout for something I can use around my eyes and the consultant recommended the sheer spf 25 because of this. I have given it a few days trial, and I am very impressed. Although my skin is very dry I was not desperate for moisturizer at the end of the day. minor improvement needed
I am near 40 and have oily/combo skin. This stuff is a little thick out of the tube, but add a dab of moistuizer and it is good to go. If you have redness this is helpful as it has a slight green tint. This does look like tinted moisturizer but do not use this as one. My favorite sunscreen
This is currently my favorite sunscreen. I love the fact that it's a mineral sunscreen without chemical sun blockers. I also love the fact that it's tinted and functions as a good tinted moisturizer as well. It goes on nicely, wears well under foundation, and doesn't clog my pores. Oh, it is also full of antioxidants, which is a must have for me in a sunscreen. love it
i dont like the tinted products generally. being colored skin they look odd if they are not available in many shades to find the right one for your skin. so i dint purchase it and oh i so regret it. i got this as a free sample when i tried it first and i am hooked. it does have a tint which is great if you are looking for sheer coverage and it is wonderful product that it goes with most skin tones. so on summer days i skip foundations and just use this sunblock. it gives sheer coverage without looking cakey or melting. in winters i use it under my foundation. it doesnot break me out which normal suncreens do ocassionally. the only reason i gave it 9 is that it comes in small tube which does not last very long and i have to buy them every 2-3 months. other clinique products last like forever. — 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Awesome
I was skeptical at first because I’m constantly trying to find a product (moisturizer, primer, etc) that will keep my skin from getting oily. Especially in the summer. Anyway, after reading the reviews here on Total Beauty, I decided to try it. And I love it. I’m so pleasantly surprised. I don’t have severe oily skin but in the summertime, it gets quite shiny by about midday. Using this product I had no shine. It has a light tint to it so I don’t even need to use foundation although you could still use foundation over it. It’s very light on the skin….like a primer.
