Anything BUT Beautiful
I have tried to love this fragrance--the ads with gorgeous brides are so enticing. This is supposed to be a "delicate" floral mix of Lilies and Roses, Marigold, Orange Blossoms, and a touch of Citrus, made a little warmer by a "woody base." I have never been able to stand this scent. I remember when this perfume made its debut. Department stores covered their sidewalks with pink carpeting. Loved the carpeting, hated the aroma! Classic & Timeless
I usually ignore perfume sampler sheets between the pages of magazines, but when I was checking a recent O magazine, this Beautiful caught my attention, and to my surprise I actually bought one bottle. I am not a big fan of flowery fragrance, but this one does not smell too overpowering flowery. It is not too strong, yet I find it long lasting. Nice but My Mother's
This fragrance is nice but I'd never wear it because my mother does. It is fresh and flowery and very feminine. If you're looking for a spring/summer scent, this is nice. Strong Floral
This fragrance is very perfum-y, strongly floral and sweet. It reminds me of mature women, definitely past the age of 40. Feminine, soft, floral, lovely
I have to admit that I thought of Estee Lauder fragrances as out dated and "old ladyish". Sorry Estee Lauder! But after smelling this on a fragrance strip in a magazine I had to try it in person. I was delighted when it actually smelled even better in person. I liked it so much I bought a bottle and it never fails that when I wear it I get compliments. It's a romantic fragrance, floral, but not sweet or overpowering. I have a hard time describing fragrances and think you have to smell them yourself to know if you like them. Not Beautiful anymore!!
I used to wear Beautiful every single day for over 10 years and always got compliments on how great it smelled. Until Estee Lauder changed the formula. Now Beautiful smells more like my grandmother's jean na te. I miss it so much.
