Almost Lipstick in Black Honey: A Classic
For the past 10 years, I have always had Clinique's Almost Lipstick in Black Honey on hand. It was my first "grown up" lipstick (in other words, the first lipstick I bought from a makeup counter rather than a drugstore), and I think it is a great introduction to lip color. On my lips, which have a fair amount of color naturally, it is a pretty, subtle raspberry color. From talking to my friends, it does seem that this color is pretty universally flattering; most women I know also have a place in their heart for Black Honey. Black Honey - Best lipstick ever
Aside from being the best lipstick shade for nearly everyone, it's a wonderful lipstick. It's very gentle on your lips, with just a hint of shine. The more you apply, the darker it gets. Just Okay
I am not blown away by this lipstick. It's just okay. The texture is smooth and silky, and it is not drying. It is not long lasting. The color is flattering on me (for reference, I look good in cool tones and bad in warm tones; I'm fair-skinned with light reddish brown hair and hazel eyes). Almost Perfect!
Black Honey is the one lipstick that I always have with me. The color is great and goes on nicely. I love the slight sheen that it gives my lips and it keeps them moisturized too! Still a Classic
I have been using this in Black Honey since my days in high school, and it still remains in my makeup stash. It is not very long lasting, and I find myself having to reapply, but I really like the soft moisturizing effect and the sheer wash of color. It gives that hint of red without looking harsh or looking like lipstick. It almost looks like a creamy lip stain, but does not settle into the fine ...read morelines in your lips, as most stains do. I also like the packaging because it is so sleek and slim, and just feels so fancy everytime I pull it out. A classic but a bit outdated
