This conditioner works against my husband's dandruff, and restores the moisture that the matching shampoo washed away. I can see that it makes his frizzly fluffy hair soft and more manageable, but maybe not completely smooth and silky (well, he has very stubborn hair). I never really knew Head & Shoulders had a selection of styles for hair care until my sister needed a bottle one day for refill. I chose one and went home and tried it for myself. I felt like there was a subtle cooling sensation and noticed I had less irritation when I used hair products that day and usually at the end of the day the hairsprays or gels that I use tend to make me itch or make me super warm on the scalp. Well, this helped. It's also not a clear based shampoo, it looks more like a conditioner but still lathers well. The benefit of it all is that it isn't as drying as most shampoos I've tried that "enrich" their shampoos with too much fragrance and alcohol or should I say, pollute?
