I really wanted to like this
The smell is AWESOME. I can't say enough about how much I love the coconut smell, and it really lasts. Sadly, it didn't do very much in the way of hydrating my superdry hair. Smells Delicious
Herbal Essences has always been my favorite shampoo in terms of smell. I have a tried a variety of shampoos, and Hello Hydration has been one of the top moisturizing shampoos as well. No Hydration............
My family has gone through every formula offered by Herbal Essences. We run into the same problem every time...build up. The first 2 or 3 times the shampoos and conditioners worked great and then they starting building up and giving all 4 of us (2 adults, 2 teenagers) oily roots, flakes, and frizzy ends. My hair was definitely hydrated but a little weighed down (even if it smelled amazing!) I would only use this shampoo after I color my hair or getting out of a pool. It's ok.
I really like the way this smells, but I think that's all there is to it, a good smell. It does not feel great on my hair, nor could I tell if there was a difference. Yummy scent, but not outstanding performance
I picked this shampoo because I liked the delicious coconut milk scent (and the attractive price). But the performance was just decent. This may be good for people with normal hair and who love coconut and tropical aroma, but don't expect this shampoo to repair damages or preserve colored hair. Also, the matching conditioner did not hydrate my hair as much as other outstanding moisturizing conditioner. Smells nice, but....
Yes, this shampoo smells wonderful. But does it stand up to my hair's high maintenence standards? Not so much. It's great in a pinch if there's nothing else available, but as an three times a week shampoo? It's not for me.
