I don't love it
I have a terrible problem with brassiness in my medium brown hair. I used this with high hopes...maybe too high. I thought the formula was too runny and that the included conditioner didn't add enough moisture. It did a decent job of neutralizing brassiness...maybe a 70% job? It's okay, but I don't love it. — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

Finally!
A hair dye that is natural and can get rid of my reddish tint! Awesome. The newer boxes come with a 2 week treatment to help the color last longer, it was annoying having the red come back so quickly. I am trying to get back to my original natural color and my dark dye always fades red. So this is working wonders! I use the lightest brown level because it matches my ash brown roots. Its great. — 2 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

this product did not cover my gray at all. it did take the brassiness out of my hair but now i still have to recolor because i have an inch of roots. i used this product 2 days ago and went to see my hairdresser for a haircut today. she asked me if i wanted to color my hair. very disappointing! — 3 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

I love this stuff
I'm not that experienced with home hair dye; I've really only had it professionally done at really nice salons because I was afraid. I like to take the brassy redness out of my dark brown hair in the fall, after I'm done being in the sun, and darken it one or two shades. This dye does that perfectly, removes much of the brass, and, if left on a bit longer than 10 minutes, will dye my hair a shade darker while looking very natural. It leaves hair smelling good and feeling soft. The conditioner that comes with it makes hair so unbelievably soft, there must be lots of silicone in it or something. I love this stuff!! — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 8 of 9 people said helpful

I LOVE IT!!!
I used it last night Brass Free 9C was the color for blonde hair. I had root growth and then that baby chick yellow looking hair (ish)...I used Brass Free and I love how my hair turned out. The color is more of a dark blonde now, but looks natural and healthy. No yellow or orange at all. I will definitely use this again! It was turning purple as I put it in and I got kind of nervous that I'd get that purple/gray looking muddy looking color, but NOPE...it all washed out and the color was amazing. I love it! — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 8 of 10 people said helpful

A good change
Didn't really change my hair color dramatically. But it did get rid of the ugly reddish orange tones throughout my hair and became the rich shiny color I had desired. Didn't last as long as I'd hope, but I'd much rather it not last than damage my hair like most other permanent hair dyes will do. Definitely will buy again. — 3 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 4 people said helpful

Gentle and completely covered the gray!
I bought this because although I had salon highlights in, they were starting to fade and my gray roots were just too unbearable. I bought the medium brown and it worked wonderfully! My gray is completely gone and the shine is fantastic! The color is slightly darker than I expected, but then that could be because my hair was so brassy from previous at-home colorings and the sun. I loved the fact that it only took 10 minutes and that it's not permanent. I've received a lot of compliments actually and definitely intend to purchase this product again. — 3 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 6 people said helpful

Hmm.
So I was desperate to get rid of the last of my reddish hair color, and chose Brass Free Brunette in 6[point]5 (the lightest shade of brown available). It doesn't stink (Yay!) and goes on nicely, but after I rinsed it I found out that it REALLY stuck to the red that was left in my hair and didn't cover the blonde roots very well. I had to color my hair again that evening to even it out, but I think that I'm just a special case who has to make the weirdest mistakes in at-home hair coloring. I'm very happy that it neutralized the red in my hair. It came out a lot darker than I thought it would, especially considering it was supposed to be the lightest brown available. — 3 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 4 people said helpful
