I'll admit it's easy to apply but I'm not very impressed with this product. First off I purchased medium golden brown simply to remove the highlights from my hair because brown is my natural shade. Once I finished drying my hair I realized that it was black! And I don't mean nice and shimmery raven black I mean dull, fideous, and fake looking black. And the smell! I know all hair dye smells bad but I've never had such and issue with bad smelling dye. It smelled like rotten corpse. Also really burned my scalp. I think I'm gonna switch back to natural instincts because I've always gotten box matching colour with that and I find it's less damaging. Good for box color

I prefer salon color but whenever I have had to use drugstore color I reach for this. The color is shiny and long lasting. This was my first time using this product. I actually picked it up because it was on sale at CVS and Natural Instincts stopped carrying my favorite color. I chose Medium Neutral Brown to neutralize the red tones in my hair. First of all THE SMELL! It smelled like rotten eggs! Secondly I'm not sure if I'm allergic to this product but it irritated my scalp badly to the point that it felt like it was burning, I've never experienced that before. After I washed out the color I noticed my scalp, especially this one section was very red and irritated. But the only thing I liked about it was the color itself, it was very natural looking, it took the red tones out but shockingly it did give me the highlights that the box said. This is the 1st dye I used myself. And for me it was really nice. It made my hair super soft. The conditioner made my hair stay soft for a long time.
