it curls but not thick enough
This one is slightly better than the other XXL tubes. I normally dislike curved brushes, but for the dual mascaras, this seems to work better. It's still a pain trying to coat the white, primed lashes with the black, but it did curl my straight lashes, and held all day. still no curl
what a timesuck! even when i take the time to curl my lashes first, then apply the primer followed by the actual mascara, my eyelashes are still not curly. if anything, this mascara removes whatever lift my eyelash curler added in the first place. lashes look slightly thicker and longer and the product stays put but that's about it - some lashes clumped together. — 1 year, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Where's My XXL Curl?
This mascara works okay. It does not give me the XXL Curl it promised, it does curl, barely. I have to curl before and after I applied the mascara if I want the curl. This mascara also clumps! The brush also made it hard to reach onto the lashes on the inner part of your lashes. The packaging is fine, and it is quite cheap so I don't have a very high expectancy. Awesome product
Yes you can put on several layers of other mascaras but why?? yes this is a two steper but you use very little and get HUGE RESULTS!!!! ITS WORTH THE EXTRA STEP I love it but the waterproof is jsut that proof and you need a rremover to get it off and i mean strong remover. but the regular non waterproof is great and comes off only with soap and water and no other time I have tried every mascara on the market just about since i was 16 im 40. and some were good but not great and others were great but pricey. ths is just right give a try its worth the money (about 8.00$) and t — 2 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Bad
I've been trying to find a good curling mascara to replace my maybelline sky high curves (which was awesome) as its now discontinued. This one was really bad and I had to return it. There is not reason for any mascara to have to have a 1st step/2nd step as you can put on multiple coats of almost all mascaras. It's a total gimmick. I only bought it because it was cheap and the first curling one I found. "Maybelline XXL Curl Power Volume+Length Microfiber Mascara" is an example of a bad mascara. pros: Inexpensive, I believe I paid like eight dollars for it. It did curl a little. cons: "Maybelline XXL Curl Power Volume+Length Microfiber Mascara" rubbed off too easily. Slight curl
I had to hunt this mascara down because it would sell out so fast. I does curl if you hold the primer in the lashes for a couple of seconds. It's pretty good.
I purchased it today, and I tried it. I have stick straight eyelashes that point downward, and I wanted something that would make them curl and give it much volume. Right off the bat, it curled my eyelashes. You have to apply a lot of primer, but it did work for me. It does clump and is heavy, so buy an eyelash comb. I dont really like the packaging, but I like the way if looks on my lashes. BEST MASCARA
i LOOOOOOOOOOVE this stuff. magical!!
Just to warn you, this product takes a while to apply effectively. I use the primer on both sides, then go back and add the color. I also have naturally curled eyelashes, which are pretty long, so maybe I'm not the best judge. However, I love the way this product manages my eyelashes. Occasionally, with a lightweight or clumpy mascara, they will end up going every which way and running into each other and getting in my eyes. With this mascara, they are simply long, curled, excessively thick, and magnificent! Not an everyday mascara, simply because of the time it takes to put it on.
