I Won't Be Missing This At All

My absolute honest opinion about this eyeshadow is that it's a hit or miss. Some pigments show more lively than others but I felt that the formula wasn't well pressed so loose powder would ruin my complexion with fall out during application. After a couple ho...read moreurs, I decided to touch up in the lady's room with a bit of blot powder for my shine, I noticed that the Maybelline eyeshadow just left a faint wash of color that didn't look so appealing. My eyes were no longer defined with them but sort of just washed with one color unevenly because when it gets blended with any oils in the skin, you can pretty much say goodbye to it. Needless to say, this did build up on me and the collected particles of color made it seem like I drew a line of color on the crease of my eyelid and forgot about shading the rest. The matte colors are more tamed than all the other finishes and if used with a primer, the outcome isn't so bad nor does it crease as much but quite often the color in the case will create some deception as soon as it is applied, some colors are better than others.

Good For The Price

I just bought two of the Expert Eyes singles in two different finishes - "Tastefully Taupe" from the Chic Naturals collection and "Cinnamon Spice" in the Stylish Smokes collection. These are hit or miss, depending on what you're looking for and what you like in a shadow. As a mature woman, I prefer subtle, sheer color that you can build up if you need to. I also have the Expert Eyes duo in "Forever Lilac" and can't use it - it's just a mess of light violet glitter that gets all over my face. I do like the pretty color and sheer finish of "Tastefully Taupe" - it's subtle with a gentle sheen. I'm not sure why everyone is giving these shadows such terrible reviews - I've used a few and it's hit or miss, as with anything. At least you won't be crying about losing a lot of money. ;)

Poorly pigmented

I bought this in the color displayed on this page (Antique Jade). The color looks vibrant in the package, but it doesn't transfer to lids. It maintained its shimmer, but it looked khaki green on. When I added another layer, it just looked like dark khaki. Not what I was going for when I picked this color. On the plus side: it was so cheap I didn't feel guilt for chucking it.

IT WAS OKAY

not one of my favorite products but it is cheap and so i mostly use it for contouring

I don't like it

I got this in a light blue shade, and it took a lot to build up enough color to show up. They are also a little more matte than I like. I would not recommend these shadows.

in Tastefully Taupe

This is one of my favorite colors of eyeshadow I own, although it does not last through the day. I find that using a eyeshadow primer is helpful, but if you haven't purchased this product, I would look elsewhere for one that is more lasting. I gave it 5 stars because I favor the color.

Good Color Selection

I started using these shadows to replace some other shadows from Covergirl. The consistency of these is a little crumbly but the colors are beautiful. They are not terrible for the price.

Great!

I really like this. You have to take off the top layer of shadow before you'll get pigments, if you know what I mean. Once you start to use it, it's awesome. Great staying power and nice colors.

Night Sky

This shade of eyeshadow is ok. I really like shimmer eyeshadows except for when they are like this. The flecks of glitter are so large and the shadow is so sheer that you have to pack it on. After that it looks like you were trying to use black fairy dust on your eyes. The fallout is really bad as well. I don't like using it by itself. The only time I use it is to add dimension to my outer crease color when I do smokey eyes.
