Pureology Purify Shampoo Reviews

The best to clarify
A big misconception that people get with the Purify Shampoo is that it is a regular shampoo. IT IS NOT. Of course your hair is going to feel dry if you use it more than is recommended! (Recommended usage is 1x a week). It is the best and only thing to keep hair in tip-top shape concerning a clarifier. It gets rid of hard water/mineral water build up, styling residue, chlorine, among other things. Shampoo once a week with your Purify shampoo, rinse it out, and immediately follow that with your regular shampoo, rinse that out, then use your conditioner. The best thing I've found is doing this on my day of the week to Purify. I love love love the smell of the Purify, I think there are some essential oils in it. Love it!! — 4 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

will remove chlorine
My stylist told me that he didn't think that this product was necessary for me. I swim occasionally so in that case I bring my Pureology. It leaves your hair feeling so squeaky clean that you will require some conditioner as another reviewer previously noted. — 5 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Makes it easier to say "buh-bye" to product buildup.
I've had big problems for many moons with product buildup. It's a nasty, flaky scalp that can result from using hair products like creams, serums, and mousses. And I've tried my share of clarifying shampoos, and many of them seemed to help a bit, but they left my hair so parched I had to follow the shampoo with a drenching of deep conditioner to keep my poor strands from getting dehydrated. When I decided to up the ante by consulting the girls at Planet Beauty, one of the associates surprised me by informing me that the sulfates in many clarifying shampoos can actually lead to a flakier scalp! So, I promptly checked out of Planet Beauty with this shampoo, which was amongst her top recommendation brands. This product really did produce wonderful results in terms of my hair health. Not only did the flakes drastically diminish, but my hair was left smooth, soft, and smelling fresh with a pretty, perky, "natural" kind of scent. Although it did not banish the flakes in their entirety, I'm happy with the significant improvement. If you decide to purchase this, do two applications. With each washing, leave it on for 3-5 minutes, depending on the level of buildup. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

The best purifier
"Prevent colour oxidation and remove impurities with this ZeroSulfate® detoxifying treatment shampoo, which is essential for maintaining colour-treated hair. The extra gentle formula clarifies without stripping colour, naturally removes odor from hair, and removes colour-dulling residue and buildup caused by chlorine, hard water minerals and styling products." Wet hair. Lather. Wait 1–2 minutes. Rinse. Repeat. put a shower cap on hair and blow dry for 20 min. to remove extreme buildup or “swimmers’ green” For best results! Use to prep for chemical services. i recommend u only use 1 a week at the most and apply a good deep conditioner after for soft silky hair!! — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Its Pure!!
I have to say this is expensice but well worth the price. I bought this because I figured my hair needed to be cleaned after swimming, and different products.Everytime that I use it as soon as I wash it off I can feel my hair stripped like everything is gone, after that I put in a deep treatment and my hair is super super shiny after this. Bottom line this product works!! And just a tip do not use it more than once a week : ) — 2 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

worth the money
Great product! On the back label it says great for body also. It really helps control oil in the spots where blemishes can occasionally sprout, like the back and chest. Yes it's expensive, but often you can score a giant bottle at a low price by purchasing through your stylist (If she carries the brand.) — 4 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Pureology Shampoo
I color my blond hair because of grey. I swim a lot in chlorinated pools and use this product only after swimming. I love this product. It makes a difference in keeping my hair color looking natural and soft. It does not strip away color and actually helps to keep color looking vibrant. — 4 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Stops working
Expensive!!! Not to mention that it stopped working as great on my hair after a while and left build up. Same goes for this line of conditioner! I loved it at first but then became a disappointment. Try Aveda's Smooth Infusion! — 4 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
