Leaves hair clean and light
I purchased this shampoo from Pureology because I was looking for a volumizing shampoo that was suitable for color treated hair. I had used the original moisturizing shampoo from this range a few years back and loved the rich smell and density of the product. While I love that this shampoo lathers well in my fine (and often oily) hair, the smell left much to be desired, especially for Pureology. It smells like old man cologne to me. That being said, the shampoo does work nicely. I didn't notice much lift or extra movement in my hair as a result of using this, but it got my hair very clean and did not weigh it down at all. no foaming
This shampoo is super concentrated like all of their shampoos, but it's so creamy and rich that this didn't lather well on my hair. I left residue on my hair that was contradicting the volumizing claim, and I was so disappointed with this. Their purple, blue, and green bottled ones perform much better than this one. It also has the worst smell among these. My favorite
This is by far the best shampoo I've ever used. It gets my hair clean and adds volume without stripping it of moisture. I had searched for a great vegan shampoo for a long time, and I was reluctant to purchase this because it's so expensive. However, when I finally tried it, I realized that you only need a tiny bit because it's so concentrated--I have very long hair and a nickel-sized blob is plenty. You just need to rub it between wet hands first and then distribute it through the hair. When you take into account how little you use for each shampoo, it's actually not that expensive. Wonderful Shampoo!
I was impressed at how shiny and clean my hair was after using this shampoo. It gave my hair volume and it was soooo shiny after using it.....It smelled so nice too. The only thing I didn't like so much was the price...It is a verrrrry pricey shampoo. Hair Healthy and Hydrates but No Volume
I was using Pureology's Pure Hydration products with great results in terms of my hair's health (no more frizz!) but I wanted something that added a little more lift to my fine, chest length hair. While Pureology's Pure Volume system has the same benefits as the Hydration line, it actually makes my hair heavier. As a result, any style (even using Pureology's mousse), is gone by lunchtime. I am using the product up because it is so expensive (and it is still hydrating) but I will definitely not be buying again. Best there is
This is by far the best shampoo that's ever touched my head. The scalp tingle is refreshing, smell amazing, and it leaves my hair silky and bouncy. I have naturally dark blonde hair with golden highlights, and I can easily go 10 weeks between colorings a with no fear of brassiness or fading. It protects blonde from reactions with the chemicals in the water supply, and like others said, a little goes a long way.
