I have a lot of fine wavy hair that's been color treated a lot of times, and could use some hydration. However, this shampoo does nothing for me. Given the price, it definitely should! I get compliments when I use this shampoo because it smells so great. Its only the purple one that smells great, the other colors are different, though not bad either. It doen't retain my haircolor all the well, but I keep using it because of it's luxurious formula is thick and luscious. I'm devoted to my cheap, all-natural Nature's Gate shampoo, but this shampoo's rave reviews piqued my curiosity, so I bought a sample-size bottle. It is indeed excellent; it's gentle but thoroughly cleansing. It contains protein, which explains why it's so nourishing. I was about half-way through the little bottle when I started to notice a significant difference in the health and appearance of my hair. I will definitely be purchasing the full size. I can't stand the smell, which I know so many of you love. I also found that I can only use it a few times and then it doesn't work very well and I have to switch and come back to it. I don't think it left my hair in any better condition and to me it almost seemed like it would strip my hair of moisture. I work in a salon and have yet to see this product hydrate anyone's hair. Luckily we have other brands to use too. I used it on myself and many clients and I swear their hair looks more dry than it did to begin with. I am obsessed with this shampoo. It lathers up so nicely and it smells amazing. WHen you rinse it out, your hair is soft like you just used conditioner. It is expensive, and that is why I didn't buy it for a long time, but i am now hooked. I have never used shampoo that makes my hair this soft and moisturized before.
