Make Up For Ever Face & Body Liquid Makeup Reviews

MAKE UP FOR EVER FACE & BODY LIQUID MAKEUP
TWMichello (160 reviews)I am absolutely loving MUFE Foundations. First I tried the Mat Velvet which absolutely blew me away & then I tried this & I don't think I will EVER purchase any other foundations again. First of all let me just say that the acne scarring on my face is severe. The scars are deep deep red and my cheeks are literally covered in them. Now, don't get me wrong I did have to build up coverage with this a little, but I have to do that which majority of foundations anyway. When I put a layer of this one I was like.. hmm.. I don't think this will work for me I need a lot more coverage, but I added some more in the area's I needed more coverage and my jaw dropped. This doesn't even feel like you're putting makeup on your face. It's extremely light weight and the way it covered I expected my face to feel heavy(especially for the amount I used). Now seeing as how I need more coverage I did have to use about 5 to 6 pumps which is a lot & the foundation is kind of pricey so I don't know how long it would last me but I completely feel it's worth it. The best thing about this foundation is that it works either way. If you're someone who just wants to even out your skin tone and needs light coverage, this would be absolutely perfect for you & at the same time if you're someone like me who needs heavy coverage it's still perfect because its easily build able and NEVER feels heavy. It honestly just blends right in and looks like your own skin no matter how much you apply. I do dislike the bit of a scent that this has but I can deal with it. You only smell it as you're applying and it's not a heavy scent that lasts all day, so it's fine. I completely recommend this to anyone who wears makeup. It's my new love. (P.S. don't forget to shake it because I didn't at first and it was a bit watery). Great, great foundation!! It has not once caused any problems for my usually sensitive skin, and does not clog pores. It goes on oh so smoothly, and leaves just the right amount of coverage for my skin, covering it well but still looking natural. It is not a very heavy foundation so you barely feel it and it blends in very nicely, but this could also be a negative for someone who needs heavier coverage on their skin, although with some layering it might not be a problem. It is a little pricey, but a little of this foundation goes a long way, and I don't see myself running out of this foundation for awhile. Wow. I love this soooo much. It's light and sheer (yet buildable) and feels like nothing on my skin. I have normal to dry, rather sensitive skin and I have NO issues with this. It gives a very natural look and a lovely finish. You barely need any to get decent tinted-moisturizer-like coverage. A little more adds better coverage and more polish. I wear shade 20, and it's the first almost perfect match I've had in a long time. Not too pink, not too yellow. Just a nice, neutral beige. I apply with fingers then tap with a damp beauty blender for a soft finish. When I wear this, people tell me I have great skin--they don't ever ask which foundation I use. I have pretty good skin to start, but this makes it super duper. — 1 month, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Color Inadequate
Starluxe (298 reviews)While this foundation gives a great look that is absolutely buildable, the color selection definitely contrasts the cons and pros of this foundation. I am an NC35-NC40 in MAC and because I have golden undertones, I found at times this can appear a bit pink or orange under certain lighting fixtures. Sheerly, this can be blended with the skintone but for better coverage, more can be blended on but the first layer has to dry before reapplying to get the better flawless type of finish. It is quite matte with a hint of dewiness which I do like because it mimicks my skin type perfectly. This is quite the amount because it is meant for the body just as much as it is meant for the face so for the ladies who want to cover up veins and imperfections, this can create a subtle natural sheen over the skin to create some luminosity and correcting. This has just about the same coverage as a tinted moisturizer when first applied but what makes it more unique is that it is in a gel based form unlike other foundations that have a thick creamy consistency. This didn't clog my pores nor did it cause me to break out but it's not quite my favorite foundation either. — 4 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful

Great for photos!
BeautyJunkieAmber (231 reviews)This foundation is amazing and flawless! I've been photographed in it and it looked great. It truly mimics the skin so you don't even look like you are wearing anything. My one gripe, the bottle... I think there could be a better way to regulate the flow of product under the cap! — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

truly waterproof!
mamalicious (196 reviews)i wore this when i went to mexico. i have pretty even skin tone, but i wanted a little more coverage than wearing nothing. this is a great alternative to a tinted moisturizer because it is WATERPROOF! i wore it at the beach, sweated, swam, and still looked good in my vacation pictures. can't get any better than that. — 4 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

It is ok...
gerrsbabe (17 reviews)It is a very natural, buildable, water-resistant foundation. However, I agree that the bottle needs a regulator, and you DEFINITELY have to shake it alot before using or it will just come out as colored water. I use it on my body more than my face. I prefer MUFE HD Foundation for my face. — 1 month, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Great!
shell1375 (13 reviews)I have very oily skin with a few scars. I have to say this works great for me. With the right brush, you can easily get a medium coverage. It goes on very light and gives you a natural finish. And it cover scars very well. — 11 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

Suddenly I Have Beautiful Skin
Tropicca (5 reviews)I was a fan of MUFE Mat Velvet, but I always felt it made me look too "made up". I was at Sephora to replenish my Mat Velvet, and, just for the heck of it, I squirted a bit of the Face & Body Makeup on the back of my hand. Many years ago I had tested the Face & Body Makeup, and all I remember is that in addition to most of the colors being pink-based, it had a texture that seemed to sit on every groove, line, and pore on my skin. This initial test was many years ago, when Sephora first came to the US, but, based on this memory, I have a feeling the formula for Face & Body has changed since back then. This latest time when I tried it, it seemed to become part of my skin - as though it vanished - but my skin looked perfect; smooth, healthy, radiant. And that is how Face & Body has worked for me, every day since. I find shade #34 to be a perfect match year-round. This foundation blends with my skin, it doesn't cover it up, so it's more of an enhancer than a mask. Sunscreen is my nemesis when it comes to foundation, but Face & Body works beautifully over sunscreen. I find it to be most "flawless" when I apply it with a damp Beauty Blender sponge. If I'm not wearing sunscreen or anything else beneath it, I love the finish I get when applying this with fingertips. I never knew a foundation could possibly look to natural, and so much like real skin. And it's so easy to apply, and forgiving. You can't mess it up; it just seems like part of your skin. You can't even tell I'm wearing foundation with this makeup! There are parts of my face that I want to have more coverage than others, and I simply layer this foundation in those areas. It blends in like a dream, and you can't tell where there's more or less makeup. The finish is "natural", (especially because it seems to disappear). It leaves a very, very slight powder finish, but that can be blotted ot wiped off. This foundation is waterproof, and I think this is probably why it's also very good for oil-control. I do need to powder my nose, and do occasional touch-ups on my T-Zone, but I don't care. It looks like I'm powdering the nose of a face with nearly flawless, glowing skin. There are no streaks with this foundation, and it doesn't cake up, or glob up, or melt. It wears all day and all evening in all weather. This foundation is just about miraculous for the face, but it can also be used to mute bruises or smooth skin anywhere on the body. It stays put, and it looks like skin. This comes in a clear glass bottle, with a pump applicator. I pump it onto my sponge, and dot and blend it around my face; even my eyelids (for which it gives fantastic coverage). I've used other face and body makeup brands, including Visiora, and MAC, but Make Up For Ever is my very favorite. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 17 of 19 people said helpful

my new Holy Grail foundation !!!!
peunwha (40 reviews)I'm sooooo Glad that i found the right one for my face. i've tried sooo many products from department store but nothing felt perfect for my skin. some ppl can feel it's so watery and doesn't look good on thier face. but for me, after long long jorney , i found the perfect one for me. it's so light , right after you apply it , it could be watery, but more you rub it gently on your skin, you can feel it's gorgeously absorbed to your skin. i love it . it last long for the rest of my day. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

After 3 years, I still love it
modgoddess (8 reviews)I had a makeover at Sephora a little over three years ago and the MA used this on me. I was a bit put off by the name and expected it to feel heavy and look sort of mask like. I could not have been more surprised when she was done. It is VERY natural and feels wonderful on. It is different from most foundations since it is a gel-based makeup. You need to shake the bottle really well and you need to have a moisturizer on underneath. This tends to "set" quickly so keep that in mind. When you are done, you will have a beautiful finish that looks like your skin only better AND it is sweat and waterproof. The best out there! — 2 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 8 people said helpful
