very silky
I have oily, acne-prone skin and when I used the primer under my foundation it does make the foundation more smoother, and easier to put on. But after the end of the day my face broke out a little. But I would still use it when I got out because it really works, but do not put it on your face everyday. The BEST Primer ever
I used to use the Laura Mercier primer, until I read in Allure and InStyle Magazine about this primer. It is the best I have ever used. Flawless finish, light feeling, long lasting. Love how it feels.
I love how it felt after putting it on the first time. It left my face feeling velvetly smoooth. I purchased it in a the Try Me set from Ulta, which was great. Great face primer and mattifier
I have been buying the travel size versions of this stuff and I love it. It preps your face very well for long lasting makeup, and takes away any shine. Prefer this over Philosophy Primer
I like this stuff a lot. Probably my favorite thing about it is the silky smooth canvas it creates. It doesn't clog your pores and coming from someone with mild to moderate adult acne, extremely oil skin and blackheads to boot, it does help with oil control and keeping makeup on, but as with anything, it doesn't last all day. My skin eventually becomes oily once again and I have to break out th...read moree oil absorbing sheets. As I mentioned in my headline, I do prefer this to Philisophy's primer. I think overall it does a better job and Philosophy's doesn't create the same smooth canvas as Smashbox. nice texture
What caught my attention right away was the texture of the primer. Upon application, it changed from a light moisturizer-feel to almost an airy-powdery finish. Having combination skin, I appreciated it not feeling like an additional layer. It absorbed quickly, without the extra weight. Good but not a miracle
I bought this because of its fantastic reviews. It's very good, It controls shine and make your make-up looks a little bit better but for me It isn't a must have. I mean, It's not to die for. Love this Primer!
I first tried this primer at an event Smashbox had at Macy's. The makeup artist told me about it & put it on me & I loved it. I usually have shiny, kind of oily skin, & I always shine on my forehead, cheeks, & nose. This primer helps to combat that & it controls my shine. definitely would recommend
my only complaint is that this is a bit pricey. but it really does the job--my skin is oily, and it takes most of the shine away right away. it didnt take ALL the shine away, but i have found that oil blotting sheets do the trick (btw, i use much less since i started using this product)This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Works for shine control
I purchased this product because I was looking for shine control. However what I received was better than I could have imagined. Application was easy and it went on smooth. My skin tone looked even and fresh. My foundation looked like it was just applied all day! and most important to me was that the shine was gone! Pricing was reasonable.
