Benefit Dr. Feelgood Reviews

I was greatly disappointed by this.
It was greasy and did not anything at all but make my face feel greay. It didn't help wrinkles, not good under over makeup. Really overrated. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 4 people said helpful

Made Me Feel Bad!
I don't get this "Benefit" product at all (and I generally salivate over their items). This is supposed to "mattify" skin, but all I had was a heavy, uneven coating on my complexion. Pores were not disguised. And then I had a definite "slick" feel at the end of the day. I'll definitely stay away from this "doctor!" — 1 month, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Couldn't make sense of this
A lady at the Benefit counter convinced me to buy this. She said I should apply this throughout the day like chapstick but I never really understood that. I was dumb for giving into the pressure of a pushy sales lady. This is more like a primer, but it doesn't do much in that respect either. It doesn't make my skin worse, but it doesn't improve it either. The product is difficult to pick up with the sponge included, but it's also awkward with a makeup brush. I am still baffled as to what exactly this product is supposed to do. This is another high priced product from Benefit that just doesn't deliver. — 7 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 5 people said helpful

Nope
This is the first makeup primer I ever bought, so at first I loved it because I didn't know any better. Eventually I noticed that it didn't really do anything except make skin feel softer immediately after it's applied (the feeling doesn't last!). It didn't make my skin any less shiny by the end of the day. It didn't help my makeup last longer. It has a strange, almost medicinal smell. And the instructions are bogus (apply on top of makeup? that just wipes the makeup off!). I got rid of it and started trying new primers until I found one that ACTUALLY worked. Sad, because I do love most Benefit products I've tried. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Velvety but pointless
Very nice velvety consistency. The vintage looking packaging is great as well, but unfortunately, this product does not deliver. It is supposed to prime, but anything you put over it indicates what's beneath. — 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Matte it out
I use Dr. Feelgood on my nose, chin, and forehead, over my foundation, to instantly mattify. Thanks to its handy container I can take it with me everywhere to touch up as needed (usually only once). Even though it seems waxy, if you rub your fingers in it and lightly dab on it will go on weightlessly. Still, oily skin types should beware: wax is crazy pore-clogging. — 3 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Great for summer oil
No, you do not want to smear this on over your makeup. It will ruin your foundation! The best way to use this is under makeup, as many have already suggested. I put on my moisturizer first, then apply this right before my foundation. I am in love with the way it makes my skin feel, so soft and smooth! And, the best part is that there is no dimethicone. The ingredients are rather nice, actually. It doesn't really help makeup glide on as nicely as I hoped, but for the oil controlling purposes I will continue to use in the summer on my t-zone. No breakouts either with this, which is great! — 4 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Pore-clogging nightmare.
My gf used this on me as a primer once when doing my makeup. It felt so heavy and slick and gross on my skin, i literally felt like i was wearing a mask of car oil. But she swore by it so i kept it on all day (stupid me). I washed it off and went to bed and woke up with TONS of clogged pores and little white heads. I will never let this near my skin again. — 3 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Such a waste of money!
Eight years later, I'm still mad at myself for dropping almost $30 on this terrible product. I bought it because it was described in a magazine as a mattifier and "skin perfector". It basically felt like a thin layer of chapstick applied to my entire face with a sponge. Over makeup, it ruined whatever I had done. Under makeup, it made concealer slip right off and powder dissolve. The stuff never dried, never "set", as I'd expected it to - it just sat like a balmy, suffocating layer on my face. I swear I could FEEL it clogging my pores. I used it three times, kept it in a drawer for a couple years, and finally gave in and threw it out. I'm surprised they're still making this product. — 4 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Love this!
I love this primer. It goes on so smooth and nicely. The skin looks almost flawless with it on. Make-up smooths on evenly and looks almost perfect with this underneath. — 5 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful
