Absolute Palette PERFECTION!
I began reviewing cosmetics for Lorac for another site many years ago. Their items were quite different then, but still the great quality they are now--perhaps even better. This "Greatest Hits CD" contains, as stated, some of Lorac's best-ever achievements and comes in two shade combinations--the one shown is in hues of crème, gold, brown, and black; another is available in tones of pink, plum, blue, and grey. All of the items in these palettes blend flawlessly for a subtle or dramatic look, perfect for day or evening. Two items are absolutely outstanding in this particular one: The tender powder blush in "Soul" is becoming to just about every complexion possible. It's completely sheer on the skin and applies seamlessly, but gives a beautiful glow. Years ago, it was akin to Nars' famed blush shade (can't say it here, but you are aware of what I am speaking). My all-time favorite Lorac creation is the red-brown lip and cheek tint (once available in a pot of its own, and I had one stashed everywhere!). It is an incredibly gorgeous hue, once more appropriate for all skin tones. A little goes a long way for a natural but seductive flush. It has stayed on me for up to twelve hours in an amusement park--through water rides, heat, and sweat. Don't pass this gem by--it is available at eBay for around $15.00. The Best Palette Ever!
I like the one with the Amethyst color lig-gloss. The eyeshadow pigments show up really well and are very blendable and create a great smoky eye. The blush looks great and the lipgloss is the best! It shows up really well without being sticky at all or too shiny. It makes my lips pop when applied over a neutral lipliner and lipstick.
