Clinique Colour Surge Eye Shadow Duo Reviews

Clinique Colour Surge in Double Date...the best!
LittleBunny (393 reviews)I've used the Double Date color combo for years, and only recently have come to appreciate what a great pairing it is. I have very uninteresting brown eyes, but this shadow really gives them depth....but it's so natural looking, that it looks like I was just born with beautiful glowing dark eyes. The two colors in the palate complement each other nicely and blend well. I like to add a little highlighter in the inner corners of my eyes and below the eyebrow, and that's pretty much all I need. The price is very reasonable too, and all Clinique products seem to last forever...so you definitely get your money's worth. — 1 year, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

LOVE this!
LipglossandSpandex (487 reviews)I have an eyeshadow sampler as part of a free gift with purchase, and it includes 'strawberry fudge duo pink shade,' 'beach plum duo purple shade' and 'like mink duo deep shade.' I LOVE the amount of pigment in the strawberry fudge pink shade, but it's kind of lacking in the purple and deep shades. The strawberry fudge pink shade is creamy in texture and goes on well, while the purple and deep shades are a little hard and aren't as creamy. I would say to try out the shadow because apparently the formulations differ in terms of pigmentation. But I will definitely be buying this shadow again in at least one color :) — 3 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 4 people said helpful

Love these duos
TBjunkie (678 reviews)This is great quality eyeshadow so they last a long time and the color is vibrant even though I prefer the natural tones. A must have for me. — 1 year, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 4 people said helpful

7 Worst Eyeshadows -
Soft and subtle but still noticeable
luckybetty (880 reviews)I have several different sets of these duos. This line seems to be often given as a Clinique gift with purchase item. These eye shadows blend well. Their color combination are nice, but a few sheer/neutral ones are not pigmented enough. A primer may be necessary for some of these shadows unless you have very oily eye lids. Having said that, overall, these duos are weightless and wearable for daily use. When I want to use bold and a bit smoky eyes, I use MAC or bareMinerals. But when I feel like sheer results or soft/paste color eye shadow, I switch back and forth between this line and Shiseido's Hydro-Powder eye shadow. — 1 year, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 5 people said helpful

LOVE IT!!!
CliniqueLover (265 reviews)Well I was doing a Clinique haul when a Clinique employee asked if I would like her to test out some new products on me. Since I love having my makeup done by professionals (it makes me semi feel like a celeb :) I agreed. Clinique's latest creation was the strawberry fudge collection so she used Clinique High Impact Mascara, Vitamin C Lip Smoothie in Pink Me Up, and of course this eyeshadow in Strawberry Fudge. As soon as I looked in the mirror I bought all three. Anyways back to this eyeshadow. I absolutely love it. When I first saw it I thought it would just pinky on me but I was totally wrong. It has this bronzy look to it so on my eyes the two shades almost look like a sunsety glow. No wonder this duo's called Colour Surge! Great job Clinique!!! — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Natural Beauty
Starluxe (298 reviews)Chic and subtle, these eyeshadows deliver a medium wash of pigments that are contrasting to create more depth than just a single color eyeshadow, it comes with a partnering darker complimentary tone to accentuate the eyes. I adore this for casual days when my look needs to be more toned down and when I think hyperpigmented eye shadows would be a bit much for the occassion. I personally like Link Mink and Coffee Shop as my all time favorites and everytime the bottom of the pan starts peeking through, I rush for a refill on one of these dainty little sleek things. It comes with a sponge and a brush for on the go touch ups which I believe works better than most plain sponge applicators that come with other eye shadows. — 4 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 6 people said helpful

12 Best Eye Shadows -
Good, reliable everyday shadows
TwoBirds (284 reviews)I like Clinique eyeshadows, but I find the palettes tend to be pretty limited to pinks, browns and purples. Still if those are the shades you like the colour surge duos are pretty good. They go on evenly, are long-lasting (at least with the primer I use) and do not irritate my eyes. The color saturation is good, not great so that combined with the price knocks off a star. They have a slight shimmer and the applicator is really good for being in a palette. I always steal these off my mom if she doesn't like the color if she gets them on bonus days, but I rarely buy them since I usually prefer more color saturation. — 2 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 3 people said helpful

Good eyeshadow, but not quite a colour "surge".
RavenLoudspeakr (270 reviews)This is a great, non-creasing, long-lasting eyeshadow. It comes in a sleek case with 2 colours, one for your creases and an all-over lid shade. The shadows are never extremely opaque, but show up pretty well, making them excellent for everybody and all occasions. I bought "rose wine", which is a light, light pink and medium mauve colour. They faded a small bit throughout the course of the day, but still retained their colour. The shadows also blend extremely well, and only have a very minuscule amount of shimmer which is enough to look nice, but not like a disco queen/king. — 3 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Mochaberry
reneegro (209 reviews)I received this as a gift with purchase, is the second time I receive it and I love it! It goes with my skin tone and eye color. The eye shadows are really cool, they last long, don't get into the crease, and the pigment are perfect for everyday. — 1 month, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
