Honestly one of the best deals I have picked up (found it at my local Nordstrom Rack) from a high end make up company. I was a bit skeptical about this box because, well obviously the colors are a bit bold and I had a hard time figuring out how to incorporate them into my daily routine. I am a big fan of Urban Decay products because they have amazing lasting power, are easy to blend, and have amaz...read moreing color payoff, so naturally I like to horde makeup items during their sales. But, aside from that, this box is absolutely charming, I use the blue and greens for liner to give my eyes a pop of color, and the neutrals are saved for my everyday look to either school or work. The only thing I don't really care for are the little applicators that come with the box. I found them kind of annoying since they kept on coming out; eventually I threw them away. I sort of wish that instead of the applicators, the set came with an eyeliner or lipgloss; since that is what most of the UD sets usually come with. Overall it's a great product and I recommend this to everyone since the color variety is so great. Love this product.

beautiful

UD has the best pigments in their eyeshadow. Very rich with a velvety texture. They stay on well too. If you wear them with the primer potion they could stay on for days!

Shadow box

I am a huge fan of Urban Decay, particularly their eyeshadow palettes. I was a little dubious as to whether it was ...read morethe real deal, seeing as it was discontinued at this point, but after the Official Urban Decay facebook page confirmed that it was, I went ahead and nagged my fiance for it for Valentines. First of all, I'll comment on the packaging. It comes in the traditional UD deep purple velvet packaging, with a very cute "bling" design in the center which I have a fetish for touching for some reason. It's a very nice size for handbags and travelling, and closes firmly with the magnetic lid. When you open it up you see the mouthwateringly beautiful nine shades and two sponge applicators against an understated (particularly for UD), but chic white base. Some minor detail of purple flowers and birds adorn the inner lid, along with a good sized mirror. The eyeshadows are, of course, of spectacular quality. As they are deluxe shadows, they're supposed to be a "touch" more special than the ordinary UD colours, but I don't think they're any different. To be honest, I don't see how the deluxe formula can be better than the original formula anyway. I truly believe that no other makeup company makes eyeshadows as pigmented and as special as UD. As mentioned previously, all shadows are of the best quality. I happen to like the two sponge applicators also, as I find they transfer colour better than brushes, though it's absolutely essential to use brushes to blend properly. All the colours are workable, even the bright ones. (I managed to create a gorgeous look using Peace all over the inner 3/4s of my lid, Ransom in the outer v, Fishnet buffed into the crease, Honey in the tear duct, and Graffiti in the inner corner) The balance of brights with neutrals is nice, however, it is missing a highlighter shade (not really an issue for me as I have a few hanging around.) Overall I would wholeheartedly recommend this palette. You can create fun, bold, but also soft and natural looks too. Quality product!

Quality shadows fun colours not practical for everyday use

This is a great palette but as was mentioned it is pretty difficult to use just this palette to create a look, especially if you are going to a conservative workplace or are a bit older(myself) but young at heart. However if you need that pop of a bright shade this is your palette. I use white creamy base and do a green, coral summer look, it is much better for use in the summer monthsd.

A staple

This is my go-to palette for all my eyeshadow needs. I tend to switch between neutral eyeshadow and the super bright stuff, and this palette has both! The colors are just so fun! And they're typical amazing Urban Decay quality. They're so pigmented and satiny and go on super smooth. They also blend well. Did I mention the packaging is adorable? Fun & good quality overall

Urban Decay has some great quality products and they aren't afraid of a little color. Their eyeshadows are definitely no exception; they are smooth, richly pigmented, and stay on great. What can I say? I love Urban Decay!

I love their shadows, I own so many of theirs! My boyfriend is getting annoyed by not having anymore space in the bathroom/hall cabinet. Oops! I honestly can't help myself, their shadows are always highly pigmented and I always get compliments when I wear them!

Repurchase worthy

This is a great palette. I bought this palette in 2011 and I loved it. It is hard to find a palette with so many unique colors, I was initially drawn to the purple, blue and green. However, I feel I used the purple, pink, nude and gold shaded colors the most. This palette is great if you already have a few go to palettes and at least one wholly Grail palette but not the best for beginners because ...read morethe colors in this palette don't pair up and blend for a look. Oh and the case is gorgeous. Not to mention the pigment is amazing. This was the one of the first palettes I've ever bought and I find myself thinking about buying it again all the time. The holidays are coming up and I'm definitely going to repurchase it as a gift to myself. I know I'll get better use out of it this time around, 4 years later and with that a little more experienced.
