Phenomenal Lipstick

In true Nars fashion, this line of lip sticks has an unbeliavable array of gorgeous shades that when applied, look exactly like the color does in the tube. The quality is unrivaled, seriously the best lipstick I have ever purchased. This product is highly pigmented and a mere swipe of the lipstick transfers more color than you expect. I bought a special edition red shade that I'm hoping they bring...read more back, it was striking, however the line's selection of beige, taupe and skin shades are really great quality staples to have for everyday. My personal favorites are "Honolulu Honey", "Cruising" and "Fabella" they are all either light pinks or peaches. But the darker hues are really beautiful too, "Afgan Red" is a dark red that looks awesome for more formal occasins. They last throughout the day and didn't dry out my lips like many other long-wear lip treatments. It is really an impressive collection. I suggest trying them on, in-store before purchasing though because the colors are very striking and are not done justise online. The packaging too is very understated and chic. They are rather pricey but I buy dozens of drugstore lipsticks that fail to meet my expectation and end up using it two to three times while I've run out of four Nars lipsticks. They are that good. I strongly suggest at least trying them next time you are Sephora or at a Nars department store counter.

Lasts without drying

This is a very good lipstick. I love the matte formulas. They come in a beautiful selection of colors which are highly pigmented. You get great color in just one swipe. Non drying.

Beautiful Lipstick

I love NARS lipsticks. The colors are so beautiful and they are creamy, not too matte. I give them a 9 because their only fault is the price, more than MUFE and MAC.

nars lipstick

I got this lipstick in the color "fire down below," which has a semi-matte finish , from sephora. It's called a "pure blood red". It's a beautiful, highly pigmented warm deep red, currently my go-to red lipstick. It's perfect for nearly every occasion. However it can be a bit drying, and settles into the lines of my lips after a few hours (why i give it a 9), so exfoliating and moisturizing before...read morehand is a must. I'd say the finish is fully matte rather than semi-matte and dry, and is long lasting almost to the point of being difficult to remove. I also got the color "dolce vita," described as "dusty rose." it has a sheer finish and is a fabulous "my lips but better" sort of shade. It's perfect for all occasions and is my favorite everyday lipstick. It has a beautifully creamy and lightweight finish. I would recommend either of these to a friend in a heartbeat.

I love these lipsticks!

Nars lipsticks are among the best lipsticks I've tried. They are creamy but stay on for quite some time without feathering. I like the satin formula the best and it seems to be the most long lasting. The colors are absolutely gorgeous and always fashion forward. I'm in my 50s now and no longer wear bright or dark lipstick but Nars has a nice collection of lighter shades, my favorite being Seno...read morerita, a sparkly beige. I've always had trouble with lipstick lasting longer than 15 minutes, but Nars lipsticks are among the most long lasting I've found. I don't like the sheer formula, but that's my only complaint. Otherwise, these lipsticks are great!

LOVE.

FIRE DOWN BELOW. I can't say enough. Holy Cats, Batman. I tried this product after seeing a pin on Pinterest claiming it would complement any skin tone. If I just need a little pick-me-up, I dab the color on...read moreto the center of my lips and blend out with a fingertip, and the result looks like a natural flush after I've been making out... but I can also apply the old fashioned way for a dramatic, sexy red that's not too overbearing, and though a little fading is unavoidable with ANY lip product, Fire Down Below retains a sexy, natural, bitten look where many others morph into some strange Crayola-on-LSD monstrosity. I can't get enough of this lipstick! I save it for dates and special occasions (I don't want to dilute the WOW factor by letting people see me in it all the time) but it's absolutely perfect, and using it sparingly makes it worth the price.
