I never seem to be able to get a smooth shiny finish on my nails that lasts. I'll always end up bumping my nails into something hard any denting them- Even a half hour after brushing on a top coat! The application of the product is almost flawless. It goes on very smoothly and the surface dries quickly- Which keeps the shine while the rest dries. When I saw this product, I did not have high expectations, because I assumed that because of its fast drying time, it would be hard to apply it quickly enough for it to not get brush strokes, also an issue for me. I was so wrong! The consistency is relatively thin so it can go on without problem, and yet dry very quickly after that. It's amazing! I would not say one coat of this will dry in 30 seconds... BUT this is really not a problem, even the most impatient of people can wait a few minutes before touching it. Another great feature of this top coat is that it will, in my experience, keep the nail polish from chipping for more than double the normal time. I've had people asking if my nails were done professionally. Good luck! I needed a top coat and didn't have time to go to Sally's so I picked this up at the drugstore instead. It was a little over a dollar and I figured it wouldn't work that well, but I was pleasantly surprised. Now, it doesn't completely live up to the claim "30 second top coat", it takes a bit longer than that, but it does dry about as fast (and hard) as Seche Vite. The best part is that this makes my nail polish last, on average, five days. With SV I used to have to redo every single day because it would chip so badly. I also had no shrinkage with this. The reason I gave this a four instead of a five is that when I got towards the last 1/4 of the bottle, it started to bubble up on my nails. It's a bit of a pain to only be able to use part of the bottle, but at a dollar it's not that big of a deal to go buy another one when it starts to do that. And I definitely will be buying more of this. This stuff is pretty good especially for the drug store price. It dries fast and has a shiny look as well as hard and smooth to the touch. It claims to dry in 30 seconds which isn't exactly true but it does dry in about 5 min, atleast well enough to do basic things without worrying about smudges. The only thing I do not love about this is towards the last 2/3 of the bottle it's getting thicker and is drying faster so I am needing more on the brush to have a nice smooth coat over my polish. Would still definitely repurchase This does dry instantly, so that you can get on with your manicure almost immediately. The first hand you paint will be dry by the time you get done polishing the other hand. Great esp for quick manicures. UPDATE: I put this on my toenails as a basecoat before applying a deep red polish, and this product prevented my nails from yellowing. This produce is quite effective AND inexpensive as well. Great Polish!!
I bought the 30 second quick dry nail COLOR and was dissapointed. However, the top coat is different, goes on smooth and easily and does it's job well. This is g r e a t!!! I have my nails done regularly at a nail salon, then when I get home, I use this product....it makes the polish last alot longer without chipping, and the shine is almost blinding!!! Gives me time!!
I usually take hours to paint my nails to give them ample time to dry. My nails were dry literally in seconds. I was shocked. I thought it would take a few minutes, but it really a few second. I've been using this product since it was called Insta-Dri, and that's still how I refer to it. I bring it to my manicurist, and my drying time has shortened from 20 minutes to 8!
