Outstanding
I am in love with this product. I had a nice OPI top/base coat that I accidentally shattered on my tile bathroom floor, so this was my budget replacement that I grabbed the last time I had to stop into CVS for a prescription. I LOVE it. I did get bubbles the first time I used it, but the next time I put on a thinner layer for the base coat and had no trouble at all. I painted my nails on Saturday with this as the base and top coat. Since then I've done loads of typing, filing, paperwork, etc. I never wear gloves to wash dishes (and I have washed dishes this week), plus a million other tasks that have made my nails chip in the past. Today is Wednesday and there is not even one chip and my nails are still very shiny and looking nice. Affordable and gets the job done!
I wanted to share with you my current favorite top coat which is the Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat. I love this top and base coat for many reasons, the first being that it is very affordable, it's around $4.58, and it can be purchase at all major drugstores (as well as online). For less than $5.00 you not only get a top coat but a base coat as well, using a base coat is v...read moreery important (in my opinion) because it allows an even base for the nail polish. The concept is very similar to applying a face primer, well my nail polishes have been able to glide on very easily with this product, and the polish has been lasting a lot longer when using this as a base and a top coat, vs not using anything at all. What I also love about it, is that it makes my nails super strong and chip resistant which is what Sally Hansen claims with this product. This base/top coat is actually formulated with Nylon and Pro-Vitamin B5 which create a shield on your nails, providing shine and strength at the same time! I love Sally Hansen Nail "Care" products, in fact about a year ago I was using their Daily Nail Growth Program which worker WONDERS! Overall, I highly recommend purchasing the Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat, it is great for keeping your nails looking and feeling strong and healthy, but at the same time it works great with having your nail polish last for a long time! This is an all-around good product. You get a basecoat and topcoat in one product, so it saves you a few bucks and it does the job. I See No Difference When I use it and When I Don't
Some Salley Hansen products I am over the moon about but their top coats and base coats are just not cutting it for me. I find that the only thing this adds to my nails is more time to dry. I have used an entire bottle of this hoping to see what all the fuss is about and frankly my nail color lasted just as long and looked exactly the same as when I used no base or top coat. To me, it's perfect.

Not very good
I'm not too keen on this at all. If you don't let it dry as a base coat for at least a half an hour before applying your nail polish, the polish bubbles. i guess it does okay as a top coat but I haven't noticed it making the polish more shiny or helping to extend the wear of the polish.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Works Well, Not as Shiny as I'd Like
This summer, I've been harcore nail arting and redoing my nails every 3 or 4 days and also growing my nails out. Last time I used a nail strengthener, it didn't do much, but I decided to give this a go, and it has noticeably improved the durability of my nails and manicure. In turn, my nails are longer. Very Nice
I love using this as a top coat. My nail color last about a week,and that's with me doing chores around the house. I can't say it makes my nail color shine because it doesn't. Good job

My nail color stays Longer
