Great for oily hair, but doesn't dry out your scalp.

I got this as a Christmas gift. I was reluctant to try it because my hair wasn't exactly what you called "oily". (It only gets oily after 12 hours of being outside or something) You get a very large bottle for a reasonable price and I only need 2 quarter-sized dollops to wash my elbow length hair. The smell is slightly minty with some..flowers? I can't put my finger on it but it's not ex...read moretremely minty...just ever so slightly. Anyways it cools your scalp and reduces oil in my hair. If you ever felt like me when your hair has gotten so oily and flat at the end of the day it makes you look like you have a cone head--this is the shampoo for you. It doesn't dry out your hair but I wouldn't recommend using it without conditioner if you are prone to breakage and such. Leaves you with clean, fragrant hair; product is very refreshing.

Refreshing

I love the scent of mint in my products. And this is a great one! My scalp was feeling itchy from a product it didn't like so I decided to try this one. It made that problem go away, and I can also wash my hair every other day when I use this.

Great for Extremely Oily & Colored Hair

I would only recommend this as a daily shampoo/conditioner to those with extremely oily scalp/roots. I have normal/oily colored hair, I after I used this shampoo for 2 weeks straight, I developed dandruff because my scalp was so dry. My friend, whose hair is much oilier than mine (and also colors), uses it every other day and found it has the right balance for her. Shampoo

Great product

This is a great new product by Matrix. It smells very minty and makes you scalp feel refreshed. Also, works on dry itchy scalps . Did not dry out my color treated hair.

Great for Oily Scalp

Mint is a drying essential oil, not a moisturizing one. If you have a very oily scalp this is a very good product for the roots only, but avoid anything but the slightest rinse with in on the rest of your hair.

Drying

Although this shampoo smells great and wakes you up, it leaves my hair feeling brittle and dry when I don't use a heavy conditioner afterwards. I would recommend it for someone with an oily scalp.
