this is my first ceramic straightener & i have had it for a few years now. i don't really use the wet/dry setting & no one else should either. Well, I have extremely thick hair. Just to blow dry takes close to an hour. What I really like about this is it can be used on Wet or Dry hair and it doesn't dry your hair out either way. This was my second "flat" iron. The first couldn't even touch the waves of my hair! This iron can enhance my little bit of natural wave to make it look smooth and wavy, or it can straighten it to make it look sexy. It takes very little time to heat it, so I can get done fast. I have used many different brands and models of straighteners, and I have to say that this is, by far, the best one I have ever used. It heats up so quick, and it does the job so well, and doesnt leave my hair feeling dry and brittle. The only complaint that I have is that the "wet" setting never works very well.
