But then I discovered Chanel No. 5 and most recently Juicy Couture "Viva La Juicy" and Peace Love and Juicy." I threw out my bottle of Charlie. Gave me a headache.
When this first came out I had a guy who like me give it to me for Christmas. I would get a headache everytime I wore it. The scent was ok, and a little trick is to spray the fragrance on your back so others smell it but you don't and it helps with the headaches. My mother used to wear this, it was the most nauseating toxic putrid fragrance known to man. Scented hairspray smells better, If anyone compliments you on this, they are just being nice. It is not light its is not airy, and surprise it contains butylated hydroxyanisole which is known to cause cancer. Do not buy this it is so gross. To this day I remember my mother waking me up at 5:30Am to the noxious fumes. Mom why couldnt you be soft and sweet? You were so abrasive and.. I've been wearing Charlie since my high school days. I love the light scent. It is just enough for everyday wear. The scent lasts a long time and isn;t overpowering. I use Charlie for a casual scent. The only one I use
I have used this cologne since I was in my early 20s (and I am now 58). It is light and fresh. Most of all, everybody always asks "What are you wearing?" - especially men, who often comment "I'll get that for my wife."
