Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre Natural Finish Loose Powder Reviews

CHANEL POUDRE UNIVERSELLE LIBRE NATURAL FINISH LOOSE POWDER
TWMichello (160 reviews)I have this one in Peche Clair, which is a very light apricot colour. When I bought this, me and the saleswoman were debating whether I should get the Clair or the Peche Clair. While my skin is really fair, I have problems with redness around my nose. Plus I have to be careful with not looking too deadly. For foundation, I'm using Vitalumière in Clair right now-while I like its dewy look, you definately need powder to set it. So we settled on the Peche Clair because it gave me a more "healthy" look. It's perfect with my foundation (which can sometimes be a tad too dark/yellow, but makes my skintone look super healthy), really perfects it. This combo photographs very well. The Poudre universelle libre seems to have sort of an airbrushing effect, I do not know how to describe it properly. It diffuses light in the most flattering way. The scent is light, almost non-detectable. BTW, I don't use the puff that comes with it. I use a powder brush. I brush it over my foundation, put on my blush and set my blush after that as well. This is the best loose powder I've used, ever. It's finely milled and sets your makeup like nothing else. It also lasts for a very long time - so no worries on price - if you use this regularly you'll get your money's worth. I use the translucent color - the others are too dark for my fair, cool-toned skin. Highly recommended. I usually use Chanel's double perfection powder but I wanted to try something a little lighter not as heavy (although i love the double perfection powder for going out) I just have to say that this is becoming my everyday powder. It's perfect, not too thick, not to thin. No shininess and it doesn't leave a chalky finish like other mineral powders. I think the price is a steal, it's 52 dollars but you get so much more, 3x more than the double perfection powder. The container that it comes in is so large, it really doesnt end up being much more expensive, if at all more, than competing brands. I've found my new love. — 1 month, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Magnifique!
chanceuxlilas (322 reviews)I love this powder even if I do have to splurge on it. However, when thinking about the value of this powder and how much is in the gorgeous container, it seems to be very reasonably priced. The quality and scent of this powder is outstanding as well. This does not dry out my skin and covers every single imperfection! — 3 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 6 people said helpful

Light, Airy, Wonderful Texture, Pricey
Psy1ocke (147 reviews)This is one of the most exquisite loose powders that I have tried. The texture is not too dry and leaves your face with a nice glow and a matte finish. However, I feel that the $50 charged for this item is way too much to pay for powder but I have not yet found another product that is comparable to this one. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Light but covers
MeganZ (2 reviews)How did I never try this powder before? I love & use everything Chanel but somehow have been stuck on laura mercier, and then MUFE HD, for past several years. On a whim, I bought the Chanel in #2 and was so impressed. Light, but gives a beautiful natural glow that complements my skin tone and the Chanel aqualumiere base I use. Covers yet does not sit in lines or dry out my skin. Not sure how long during the day it will keep me matte, but I use blotting papers anyways. And as to the price...seeing as how MUFE costs +$30 for .35 net oz and only lasts 2 months, the Chanel is $50 for more than twice the powder. This is the best powder I have tried so far. So happy I tried it! — 2 months, 4 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Beautiful, flawless finish
cheetah11 (154 reviews)This powder isn't cheap by all means but wow, what great coverage it has! I initially purchased this because I wanted to cover up some blotchy redness on some areas of my face while I was on prescription Retin-A. The powder is loose so if you're not used to loose powders it can get pretty messy. I find it's better to use my powder brush than using the sponge that comes with it. All I did was lightly dusted the red areas after putting sunscreen on and viola! No more red patches. It was like magic, not to mention, it stayed put throughout the day so I didn't even need to touch it up. The coverage is good enough that you can spot treat problem areas on your face by using a smaller brush. By the way, a little of this goes a long way so even though the product is expensive, it lasts a long time. I've had mine for over 3 months now and I still have about 3/4 of the container left. A great buy! — 3 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 8 of 8 people said helpful

Up there with MUFE HD Powder as my Fave Loose Powder!
Jamilla007 (117 reviews)I wear this powder with my Tient Innocence Foundation, and it provides a very natural finish, great in daylight -- it provides finish, but doesn't change the colour of your base makeup. Love it! — 3 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
